Award winning Contemporary Christian Artist, Nikki Laoye has unveiled the visuals for the Live Recording of her hit single, “Only You (Remix), popularly known as Daddy’s song as Nikki initially recorded the song shortly after losing her dad, Prince Olushola Laoye on the 3rd of August 2011 (He would have been 70 years old today – the 4th of August)

A song filled with deep expressions of total trust and faith in God’s Unfailing Love, “Only You” was her comeback song in 2013 after her brief 2 year hiatus from the music industry. The song received worldwide recognition and went on to receive numerous awards, including The Headies, AFRIMA, AGMA UK awards, Nigerian Music Video Awards and many more.

Accompanied by the Usual Suspects band, the song was recorded Live at IconTowers Studio, United Kingdom for Snatcha’s 3rd headliner UK Concert, “Drunken Masters” in September 2020.

Speaking about the inspiration behind the unrehearsed, spontaneous worship moment, Snatcha shares: “Something exciting happened at the end of The Drunken Masters virtual concert I had last September.

We had finished the songs on the set and I had this urge to just do something spontaneous. So I put Nikki Laoye and the Usual Suspects band On the spot and decided to do a song we didn’t rehearse and this led to a 13 minutes plus worship moment at the feet of the Master.

Mighty God is a song by Nikki Laoye so I just asked her to sing it while the band play along and with a few written and some freestyle verses, we just had a great time with the Father”
