Hannah Kerr Releases Three-Track Single For Christmas Season

Curb | Word Entertainment artist Hannah Kerr adds her warm alto to a traditional arrangement of “Joy To The World.” Kerr’s graceful, piano-led rendition, “Joy To The World (It’s Christmas),” includes an original refrain that sends the song out to the lonely, the anxious, and the forgotten.

The fresh seasonal offering serves as the title-cut of Kerr’s latest three-track holiday single, new for Christmas 2022. “Joy To The World (It’s Christmas)” was arranged by Hannah Kerr and Jason Earley; and produced by Mark Miller.

Kerr also puts her spin on the holiday classic, “Sleigh Ride.” Sticking to a traditional arrangement of the Christmas favorite, Kerr’s elegant vocal glides effortlessly over the bright instrumentation of a jazz trio. “Sleigh Ride” was written by Leroy Anderson and Mitchell Parish; and produced by Mark Miller.

Kerr waltzes into the holiday season with her wistful take on “I’ll Be Home For Christmas.” Set against a meandering piano and light percussion, Kerr’s dreamlike version captures the nostalgia of the original classic in a spin-off that’s uniquely her own. “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” was written Walter Kent, Kim Gannon and Buck Ram; and produced by Mark Miller.

[Music Video] Same God (Acoustic) – Hannah Kerr

Hannah Kerr releases new music with “Same God (Acoustic).” Earlier this year (Mar 12), Kerr first released “Same God,” which was written by Kerr, Emma Klein, and Hunter Leath. GRAMMY-winning songwriter/producer Josh Kerr (“God Only Knows”) produced the single. These are challenging times for countless people, but in the true spirit of hope, Kerr found inspiration that shines through the song, and even the artwork reflects it.

“Same God” has a clear message. “This song, that came out of a Zoom call, is a cry from a heart that is broken, a person who doesn’t have it all together, a Christian who still has doubts and fears,” said Kerr. “But most importantly, this song is about God, who loves us and reminds us of the truth when we need it the most. He’s the same God, and He loves us no matter what!”

A subtle prompt from God’s creation, birds chirping without a care, was a topic of conversation during the Zoom songwriting session as “Same God” was coming to life. That small, everyday occurrence is an excellent reminder of God’s constant and unchanging presence. So much so that Josh Kerr added cheerful tweets into the song’s production, and the single’s artwork reflects the beauty of nature, artistically blended with Hannah Kerr’s own image.
