GRAMMY-nominated Capitol Christian Music Group artist Anne Wilson debuts an all-new music video for “The Manger (with Josh Turner),” out everywhere now. Wilson enlists revered Country mainstay Josh Turner for the festive video set in a beautifully lit barn in Franklin, Tenn.
Celebrating the significance of Jesus’ birth in a humble stable, “The Manger” combines Wilson’s “graceful country grit” (American Songwriter) with Turner’s distinct velvet voice, making for a beautiful holiday offering. The music video directed by Dustin Haney premiered exclusively on Facebook on Nov. 16, and is available below.
“Sometimes the most simple places represent the most incredible days of our lives. The stable and the manger mark a day when our lives changed forever – the day Jesus was born,” shares Wilson. “I’m so honored to have the amazing Josh Turner join me in the music video for ‘The Manger,’ and I hope it brings joy to everyone who hears it this holiday season.”
Wilson’s six-track Christmas EP, The Manger, dropped on Oct. 28, garnering nods from Entertainment Tonight, Stereogum and more. Produced by Jeff Pardo and Jonathan Smith, the EP is outfitted with four songwriting credits from Wilson and features her renditions of beloved Christmas classics. Project standouts include “Mary Did You Know” and “O Holy Night,” the poignant “Just Because It’s Christmas” and the countryfied “Kentucky Fried Christmas,” fit for anyone’s Christmas playlist wishes.
The new video comes just days after her nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album at the upcoming 65th annual GRAMMY Awards recognizing her debut album My Jesus. The GRAMMY Awards will air live Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023 from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The nomination marks Wilson’s first recognition by the Recording Academy, adding to her long list of 2022 accolades, including her upcoming nomination for Inspirational Music Artist at the American Music Awards. Fans can catch the show airing live from Microsoft Theater this Sunday at 8 p.m. EST/PST on ABC.
Furthering her year of record-breaking milestones, the artist with “unmistakable strength and unique country flair” (American Songwriter) released her first book My Jesus: From Heartache to Hope from Thomas Nelson on Oct. 25. Drawing from her personal experiences of tragedy and loss, Wilson shares her detailed path to healing in this book that she hopes will help those going through similar experiences.

The GRAMMY Awards will air live Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023 from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles – broadcasting live on the CBS Television Network and streaming live and on demand on Paramount +. The nomination marks Wilson’s first recognition by the Recording Academy, after a monumental year for the new artist.
“I’m truly blown away that I’ve been nominated for a GRAMMY,” shares Wilson. “Words fail to describe my gratitude for all God has done and is doing through my life. I can’t help but wonder if my brother in Heaven is getting to see all of this. This is surreal and I’m beyond thankful. All glory and honor to the name above ALL names, Jesus.”
After first discovering her voice while singing at her brother’s funeral in 2017, Wilson’s debut chartbreaker “My Jesus” served as her warm introduction to fans in early 2021. Co-written by Wilson alongside Jeff Pardo and Matthew West, the “deeply personal breakout ballad” (Billboard) catapulted Wilson to mainstream success – making her the first female soloist to top Billboard’s Christian Airplay chart with a debut single since the chart’s launch in 2003. The RIAA Gold Certified single helped Wilson secure a nomination for Favorite Inspirational Artist at the upcoming American Music Awards airing live from Microsoft Theater at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. EST/PST on ABC.
The follow up to her introductory track was her now GRAMMY nominated 15-song debut album, My Jesus, which wasreleased on April 22, 2022, amassing 400M streams. As the biggest debut album by a CCMG artist in over 15 years, the “soul-touching record” (CMT) reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Christian & Gospel Albums and the Top 200 Christian and Gospel charts. Project highlights include “Sunday Sermons,” “Something About That Name” and “Mamas (with Hillary Scott),” garnering critical acclaim from the industry and media alike.
Wilson’s first GRAMMY nomination comes on the heels of the 53rd annual GMA Dove Awards, where she took home two awards for New Artist of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year for her breakthrough single “My Jesus.” 2022 also saw wins for Wilson at the K-LOVE Fan Awards for Female Artist of the Year and Breakout Single, once again for “My Jesus.”
Earlier this month, Wilson surprised fans with her six-track Christmas project, featuring title-track “The Manger (with Josh Turner).” Furthering her year of record-breaking firsts, the artist with “unmistakable strength and unique country flair” (American Songwriter) released her first book My Jesus: From Heartache to Hope from Thomas Nelson on Oct. 25. Following the release of her acclaimed #1 debut album My Jesus, Christian-country artist Anne Wilson has released a string of new versions of her latest hit, “Hey Girl.” A clear fan favorite for its catchy chorus and empowering message, the song has racked up more than 6.8 million views on TikTok and 1.2 million streams on Spotify alone. The overwhelming support of the feel-good track, which impacted Christian radio on September 16, prompted the release of a multi-track Single experience, available today, Friday, September 23.
“This song ‘Hey Girl’ is an anthem for all women. It’s a reminder that we’re made in the image of God and that our identity is in Him. I’m so excited to be releasing this multitrack single with 4 different versions of ‘Hey Girl’ on it,” Anne Wilson shared. “I got to explore my artistry through this and create versions that were each very special to me. I pray this song reminds you that you’re a blood bought, battle fought, made NEW child of The King.”
Including a radio edit, live version and a new “Kentucky Version” which offers an acoustic, bluegrass-inspired feel, “Hey Girl” proves to be a hit in more ways than one. Each version offers fans a different side to Anne’s impressive range not only vocally but also as a multi-dimensional artist. The video, which was directed by Alexa Campbell (Carly Pearce, Ashley McBryde, Gabby Barrett, Florida Georgia Line), is also being serviced to CMT, giving Anne an additional platform to continue to spread her message of positivity and self-love.
