Sons Of Sunday Debuts At Number 3 On Top Christian Albums
The music scene’s latest worship sensation, Sons of Sunday, has risen up to chart on the Billboard Top Christian Albums with their self-titled debut studio album, Sons of Sunday. The album, which was released on May 16, debuted at No. 3 on the Top Christian Albums chart.
On the Top Current Album Sales, it charts No. 44. In the UK, it has reached No. 44 on the OCC Top Album Downloads and No. 10 on the Christian & Gospel Albums.
The band has been deemed as a “supergroup” and the “avengers of worship music” by some, and rightfully so, as the group consists of six of the most prominent worship leaders in Christian music–Brandon Lake, Chandler Moore, Chris Brown (Elevation Worship), Leeland Dayton Mooring (Leeland), Pat Barret, and Steven Furtick (Elevation Worship).

And this isn’t the first entry they have experienced since they began releasing music this January. Sons of Sunday contains six previously released songs, five of them charting hits. The song “God Did!”, released on January 17, has went on to enter three US Christian charts, hitting No. 13 on Billboard Hot Christian Songs, No. 4 on the Christian Digital Song Sales, and No. 24 on the Christian Streaming Songs.
The concurrently released “Running With Angels” ranked at No. 11 on the Christian Digital Song Sales. In March, an extended play, I Looked Up / One More Day, peaked at No. 32 on the Top Christian Albums within its second charting week.
The title tracks, “I Looked Up” and “One More Day”, charted at Nos. 48 and 39 on the Hot Christian Songs, respectively. In April, the single “Exchange” entered the chart at No. 41. This week, the album’s track “Holyghost” ranks at No. 31.
