[Music Video] The Bones Of Us – Switchfoot

Hot off the heels of their recent collaboration with NEEDTOBREATHE on “Carry Me,” Grammy Award-winning rock band Switchfoot is back with a captivating new music video for their latest single “the bones of us.”

Hazy montages and muted, dreamlike visuals underscore the emotion-wrought track. Directed by frequent Switchfoot collaborator Erick Frost, the “the bones of us” video depicts frontman Jon Foreman shrouded in the dark of night, aimlessly driving through the forgotten streets of his hometown.

“‘the bones of us’ is a song that attempts to move from the death of the past into a brighter future,” says Foreman. “When we recorded this song, we were chasing a feeling—we wanted to capture the audio version of what a dream would sound like. For the music video we had the same aim. Driving my friend’s old ‘57 Ford Ranch Wagon down the deserted streets of my hometown in the middle of the night was surreal. Dreamlike. I found myself transported back to the same blurry eyed heartache that inspired the song.”

[EP] Weathering The Storm – The Music : Ryan Stevenson

Ryan Stevenson, the award-winning artist and songwriter, has just released a new EP. Titled Weathering The Storm – The Music (Gotee Records), the six-song project is available now and includes new songs (“Mosaic,” “Take Me Back”), along with reimagined acoustic takes from a few of his well-known hits, such as “Eye of the Storm” and “When We Fall Apart,” which now features Vince Gill and Amy Grant. A new lyric video for the acoustic version of “Eye of the Storm” is also out now and can be viewed below.

Stevenson was inspired to release Weathering The Storm – The Music while on the road this past year with his “Home Concert Experience.” As a way to provide a unique concert experience during the many unknowns from the pandemic season, Stevenson ended up performing more than 75 concerts around the country, bringing an acoustic live show to fans’ living rooms or backyards. The “Home Concert Experience” allowed him to connect more personally with fans while also sharing moments from his recent book release, Eye of the Storm: Experiencing God When You Can’t See Him (Harvest House).

“What a crazy season it’s been as we’ve all had to weather some storms,” Ryan Stevenson shares. “I’ve had some of these songs brewing for a long time and I’m so excited to finally give these songs their life and space. I pray these songs speak life and draw you to the Father’s heart today!”

Ryan Stevenson also hosts his own podcast, “Weathering the Storm,” via K-LOVE’s AccessMore platform. Now in its third season, which launches in September, guests will include Brian “Head” Welch of KORN, Rhett Walker, Jordan St. Cyr, to name a few.

Previous seasons have included interviews with TobyMac, Amy Grant, MercyMe’s Bart Millard, author of “The Shack” Paul Young, psychotherapist and master teacher of the Enneagram Ian Morgan Cron, MLB legend Darryl Strawberry, Mac Powell, Danny Gokey, and more. Don’t miss his podcast, and also be sure to catch Stevenson on tour this fall on the “Acoustic Storytime Tour” with Jason Gray and Aaron Shust. Stay up to date on all the tour dates by visiting his tour page.

Additionally, it was just five years ago this month when Stevenson’s hit song “Eye of the Storm” became a No. 1 Billboard Christian radio single. Holding the top spot for 16 weeks, the song later became RIAA Gold-certified while winning a GMA Dove Award and a Billboard Music Award nomination.

[Music Video] Headspace – Riley Clemmons

Artist on the rise Riley Clemmons will debut a performance of her latest single “Headspace” at the “Back to Amy” benefit presented by The Recording Academy MusiCares and The Amy Winehouse Foundation. The benefit celebrates Amy’s legacy on the 10th anniversary of her passing with music from her early years performed by emerging artists. All proceeds benefit Mental Health Awareness and a mission to remove the stigma associated with mental illness. “Back To Amy” will stream live on Mandolin and simulcast on Qello on smart TVs. Tickets are available HERE.

“It’s a huge honor to be part of such an incredible event honoring the legacy of an iconic and brilliant artist like Amy,” shares Riley. “I’m massively grateful to MusiCares for all that they do, not only for the industry but the individuals within the music industry. I’m so inspired and moved by the Amy Winehouse Foundation and their passion towards mental health awareness.”

In addition to the “Back to Amy” performance, Riley has released the official music video for “Headspace.” Filmed over the course of two days in LA, she enlisted the help of director Sebastian Sdaigui (24kGOLDN & Ian Dior, 2 Chainz x Ariana Grande) to create a whimsical journey to rediscover the confidence to be herself, on her own terms. Riley begins alone in a dimly lit house, encounters neighbors from all walks of life as she dances through the street and makes her way to a bus filled with tapestries of blooming flowers. Throughout the video, Riley weaves a story of self-confidence and love, cheering on those around her and encouraging everyone to blossom and grow in their own way. Watch the video for “Headspace” HERE.

“I’m really excited for people to see this video, it’s one of my favorite projects that we’ve been able to do,” says Riley. “This was honestly one of the most incredible creative processes I’ve been a part of. Watching Sebastian, the director of the video, take this song and transform it into a piece of visual art was beautiful and made this such a wonderful collaboration. I hope it reminds people the power of where we choose to put our headspace and who we choose to give our headspace to.”

“Mean Girls” was released earlier this year by Provident Label Group and Story House Collective on Crawford’s self-titled six-song EP. Sharing the message of the song, Crawford explains, “The words we use are powerful. Some words can build people up while other hurtful words can tear down. Sadly, we’ve all experienced the latter and it’s those words that we just can’t seem to get out of heads no matter how old we are. I wrote this song as a prayer for myself but also for you because sometimes we need to be reminded that our worth is so much more than words.”
