Stephen Stanley, who joined the Capitol CMG family just last year, drops new music this week dubbed “Hurts For You”, available for downloads now and can be heard streaming below.
“One night a friend of mine called me and he said, ‘Hey man, I think I want to follow Jesus.’ It was crazy to get that kind of phone call. I came over to his house the next day and we wrote this song. We talked about the whole idea of when I hurt, God hurts too. The experience of writing this song was something that I’ve never done before. It was so natural. We didn’t even plan on it. We just sat down and started writing. I can’t wait for you guys to hear it.” – Stephen Stanley
This self-taught multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter has a profound mission to create music that gives an immediate emotional impact. His self titled debut EP released in April 2021.

Inspirational worship-pop duo Norden Pass announces the much-anticipated release of their third internationally released single, “God of Miracles”, to all streaming outlets as of June 25, 2021.
The song is the first one of 2021 for the group — made up of Tuakah Edward Whiangar Jr. and Micah Reierson — and continues Norden Pass’s signature contributions to the modern worship landscape, both lyrically and musically.
“I’ve never been this excited about a song release!” Whiangar shares. “It’s been a long time coming.”
With “God of Miracles”, songwriters Whiangar, Jonathan Gamble, and Jason Earley penned lyrics that challenge believers to view the obstacles of life the way God does, as opportunities for Him to show up.
“When we live our lives intentionally being aware of the presence of the Lord around us, we can begin to experience a peace within our current battle,” Reierson shares. “This song has continued to minister to me throughout the different hardships of the last year.”
The first words of the song capture the heart of this perspective shift: “When I see canyons, You see grounds you’re gonna move / When I see mountains, You see peaks you’ll take me to.”
Produced by Christian Hale of Centricity Music, “God of Miracles” continues to bring Norden Pass’s big, atmospheric modern worship sound, paired with soulful pop vocals and a rare synergy of acoustic and electronic instruments.
The June 25 single release is the first for Norden Pass since July of 2020, when they released “The Rock.” In March of 2020 they released their debut single, “Heaven’s on the Way.” This slow, methodical approach to releasing music shows how much Norden Pass puts into each track they release.
The words Norden Pass shared with their college campus newspaper as a new band in 2018 still apply today.
“Making music is a journey,” Whiangar shared with The USF Vessel. “I would say that I’m not the same person I was yesterday. I’m not the same person that I was at the start of this project; I have grown.”
Like the singles before it, “God of Miracles” shows Norden Pass’s commitment to honing their craft and tapping into a holy moment.
“God offers us an invitation from death to life through his son Jesus Christ,” Whiangar says. “Our prayer is that our music continues to point people to a place where they can respond to this invitation!”
Passion and sixstepsrecords/Capitol Christian Music Group worship leader and songwriter Sean Curran is out with a new song this week. “Shake The Dust Off” is available now and can be heard streaming below.
“During one of the last moments Jesus shares with his followers, he tells them to take heart because he has already overcome the whole world. This type of claim can only be made by one of two people: a crazy man, or the son of God. At the heart of this song is the courage to trust that Jesus is who he says he is. So friends, shake the dust off and take heart… Jesus is King.” – Sean Curran
The Color is proud to announce the release of their new single, “Better Way.” This multitrack release, which comes with a worship version, was written with Lauren Hungate and Jonathan Gamble, produced by Jeff Owen (Tenth Avenue North) and co-produced by Bede Benjamin-Korporaal, ‘Better Way’ follows the success of their most recent single ‘Call Of The Wild’ and their previous singles ‘Surprise’ and ‘The Kind Of Man’ (Surprise at #27 & The Kind Of Man #42 at Audience Airplay).
The Color’s new single, ‘Better Way’ (DREAM Records), reveals a fresh side of the band that encompasses both depth and maturity. The song wrestles with the reality of our small human perspective. We want to know why something is happening. We desire control and clarity when facing uncertain times. ‘Better Way’ reminds us that, though we only see a small part of the picture, God sees it all. We can walk in faith trusting that, though it may not unfold as we hoped or expected, He is leading us a Better Way.
“When we wrote Better Way the entire touring industry had shut down and I had essentially lost my job.” Frontman, Jordan Janzen shares. “It had been almost 6 months and I still didn’t have any clarity and I still didn’t have any control. There were some really hard days where hope was hard to find. I needed this song. I needed a reminder that I see such a small part of the picture.”
“Psalm 139:16 says “… Every day of your life was recorded in [God’s] book. Every moment was laid out…””
Curb | Word Entertainment artist and songwriter Sarah Reeves drops the red-hot “Dance To It (Luca Schreiner Remix)”.
With a chorus that toasts the ups and downs of life, “Dance To It (Luca Schreiner Remix)” provides a soundtrack to every high and every low. “To the love, to the pain, to the memories we made, to the past, to the dreams, to the future unseen, we can dance to it,” Reeves sings.
“So many of my songs are lyrically driven, but this one is just a feel-good song,” Reeves shares of the fresh track she co-wrote with Cameron Jaymes and Nick Bailey. “It doesn’t say much, but it speaks the language of the soul, which is dancing.”
“Dance To It (Luca Schreiner Remix)” pumps up the volume on Reeves’ original version of the song found on her latest LP, Life Love & Madness, which debuted in the Top 5 of the iTunes Singer/Songwriter album chart when it released last fall. Today’s premiere of “Dance To It (Luca Schreiner Remix)” follows the recent unveiling of “Not My Style (R3HAB Remix),” which quickly racked up one million streams on Spotify in just one week, upon release. Watch the official visualizer for the remixed track HERE.
Earlier this year, Reeves’ single, “Just Want You”—originally tracked for 2018’s Easy Never Needed You, and most recently recorded live with The Belonging Co.—reigned at the top of both the Mediabase Hot AC chart and the Billboard Christian Hot AC/CHR chart for multiple weeks. Additionally, Reeves is currently featured on Armin Van Buuren’s latest single, “Tell Me Why,” and on The Belonging Co.’s “Eyes On You” and “Holy Sound,” two tracks from the church collective’s brand new full-length album, See The Light.
GRAMMY Award-winning rock band Switchfoot releases the official music video for “fluorescent.” This track is the second song to be pre-released from their upcoming interrobang album. interrobang is expected to drop on August 20. The band defines interrobang as “a question mark, an exclamation mark, together.”
The 12-track project harks back to Switchfoot’s classic rock motifs while underscoring a definitive departure from the band’s typical fanbase. With production assist from the legendary Tony Berg (Paul McCartney, Phoebe Bridgers, Kimbra), interrobang promises Switchfoot fans old and new a fresh, never-before-seen take on the modern rock mainstays.
“interrobang is the culmination of the past 20 years. The most musically ambitious and challenging album we’ve ever made, during the most challenging year we’ve ever lived through, interrobang could not have been made at any other point in our career,” Switchfoot shared in the album announcement. “We’ve talked a fair bit about the ‘how, where, and who’ of this album (tracking live as a band at the legendary Sound City, with Tony Berg producing). But we haven’t talked much about ‘why’ we made this album. Our goal for this album was to make a record that only WE could make. An album so uniquely our own that is unlike anything we’ve ever made before.”
Ryan Ellis, a singer, songwriter, and worship leader, is the newest member to join the Provident Label Group/Sony Music family. Debuting his single “Heart of the Father” accompanied by a lyric video today, an acoustic song session with Essential Worship is also out now, which can be viewed here and below.
“This song was written in a season where I was really discovering the grace of God and His kindness, patience, and mercy,” Ryan Ellis shares about “Heart of the Father.” He continues, “I was a worship pastor living in a city called Isla Vista, California. The goal behind our ministry was to show the people in the party city that it doesn’t matter where you are or what stage of life you’re in — there’s always going to be the grace and love of God waiting for you. He always accepts us exactly where we’re at, and walks alongside us. I feel like this song shows what it is to be a believer and how we’re called to walk and love people. I hope this song blesses you.”
His name may be new as a signed artist, but Ryan Ellis has been preparing for this moment his entire life. With songwriting talents that have allowed him to pen songs for Matt Redman, Natalie Grant, Meredith Andrews, Steven Malcolm, House Fires, and more, he also wrote Chris Tomlin’s “Resurrection Power,” earning him a GMA Dove Award nomination and ASCAP’s “Most Performed Song” award in 2018.
Accolade, however, is not the fuel of Ellis’s fire. He shares, “I’m a devoted husband and father first. I have a deep love for Jesus and the way that songs draw people in to experience Him, to be inspired and encouraged, and ultimately to let them know that they are loved. Music is the language that everyone can understand, and it’s all I know how to do.”
Prior to partnering with Provident, the San Diego native spent five years serving in the U.S. Navy, including a tour of duty in Afghanistan, yet his gift for artistry had him singing and dancing since childhood. Honing his skills to becoming a founding member of the original Jabbawockeez hip-hop dance crew, it was when he had a personal encounter with Jesus that his life changed and led him to become the Worship Pastor at Isla Vista Upper Room and overseeing Isla Vista Worship.
He eventually released the EP’s Live from the Upper Room II and Kingdom Glory, and in 2019 he dropped a dual album release Lyfe and Rysponse, both a challenge and invitation to listeners to be candid about the struggle yet stand firm in the truth and promises of God. With millions of online streams and a growing amount of listeners, there is no denying the integrity and sincerity found in the songs of Ryan Ellis isn’t falling on deaf ears.
Ellis continues to reside in southern California with his wife and two children. He is represented by maddjett.
