On “Wouldn’t Change A Thing,” Bremnes reasons that life might not be easy, and we might not always be able to change the direction it takes us, but it doesn’t mean we won’t end up exactly where we’re meant to be. Along with co-writer Jimmy James, the award-winning songwriter unveils a glass-half-full perspective served sunny side up on the pop offering produced by Mike Wise (Alessia Cara, Ellie Goulding). “There are so many things we’d all change about the past or shape about our future,” Bremnes says of the sentiment behind the fresh release. “Some things come together, some fall apart. This song is about embracing the journey; living our lives as if we chose them.”

The Canadian-born singer has done just that, having visited 26 countries around the globe so far. One of his latest adventures was documented in his recent song, “Run Away With Me,” which he penned with former Tenth Avenue North front man Mike Donehey and Justin Amundrud. The world traveler and his wife, Britt, escaped to an island getaway of their dreams in a stunning music video for the romantic track, filmed safely on a private island in Belize during the pandemic. Singer-songwriter Rorie has released a new Christmas song titled “Glory, Glory (a Time Like This).” Rorie wrote the song from beginning to end while sitting on the couch in her apartment on Christmas morning 2020. “I was dealing with a lot at the time and had no intention of writing anything that morning, but I picked up my guitar to just sing a little bit, and this song unexpectedly came to life.”

It was a strangely quiet Christmas day at the end of what had been a difficult year for her and her family. Earlier that week, the planetary conjunction, or Star of Bethlehem, appeared in the sky, which got her thinking about the birth of our Savior 2000+ years ago, and what a time it was then. The lyrics to this song alternate back and forth between past and present, reflecting on the similarities in the human experience and what it must have felt like for those who were alive and actively involved at the time of Jesus’ birth.

“It is truly incredible when you think about the world at that time and what it must have been like for Mary, a new mom, to travel at nine months pregnant. Or what the shepherds would have felt when an angel appeared to them in the fields. Or when the wise men followed the star to find Jesus and worship Him. Our generation is facing our own set of challenges, fears, and experiences, and we have the opportunity to be found by Jesus and His saving grace in the midst of all that. It’s mysterious and wondrous, which really captures the essence of the reason for this season.”

In Matthew 11:28-30 Jesus Christ encourages us to drop all our burdens at His feet. We are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ.

When I went to the studio to record another song, Minister Fuhnwi was present in the studio then the Holy Spirit led me to record “Never Discouraged” with him and he added extra divine flavor to the rich song. I thank God for obeying the Holy Spirit. We strongly believe that the song will bless many lives to the glory of God. Jesus Christ reigns forever!”
