“The idea for ‘Promise to Live’ was birthed out of an old message I used to give,” Disciple frontman and founder Kevin Young shares. “It’s the idea that we all are in this world together, and are all in recovery together, from the trauma of this world and this life. The two artists shared the song live this past Friday night when Chapman made a surprise appearance during Tenpenny’s sold-out Ryman show.
Chapman, the most-awarded artist in Christian music history, was inspired to write “Don’t Lose Heart” through his own journey in the shallowed valley of grief and loss that he and his family have traveled.
