Critically acclaimed Centricity Music singer / songwriter Jason Gray releases “Awestruck (On My Way Home)” today (March 8) at digital and streaming outlets globally from The Fuel Music.

The song is the eighth single from the multi-artist A New Heaven And A New Earth project that celebrates the beauty of God’s Creation and calls believers to be faithful stewards of the world. The full-length project is slated to premiere in summer, 2024.

Written by Gray along with five-time GRAMMY-nominated, eight-time GMA Dove Award recipient and Platinum-selling Brandon Heath and hit-making songwriter and producer Kyle Williams (We Are Messengers, TobyMac), who also produced the song, “Awestruck” includes vocals by these songwriters as well as Evelyn Cormier.

“God often meets with me in the beauty of creation. Whether I stand before the ocean, go hiking in the Rockies or enjoy the colors of a sunset, the grandeur of natural beauty somehow makes me feel small and loved at the same time. Worship spills out of me and love is all I know when I’m awestruck!” exclaims Gray, quoting part of the song’s chorus: When beauty pulls me under / Arrested by the wonder, I get stuck / Where forever is a moment / And love is all I know when I’m awestruck

Each of these well-known Christian artists felt led to participate, responding to the call to write and record a song on taking care of Creation. The songs collectively cover rock, pop, hip hop, R&B, indie, folk/ Americana and more musical genres.

Along with the celebrated artists pouring into the multi-artist A New Heaven And A New Earth project slated to premiere this summer, their children are conversant participants not only singing and playing instruments on select songs on the recording and at live performances, but also producing the project’s video content, social media posts and website.

Berry’s rendition, which continues to reflect on God’s faithfulness, is a journey and a call to worship, inviting listeners to embrace their beliefs and find joy in gratitude. It’s her testament to the power of worship to move and inspire, especially from these powerful anthems.

“‘Same God’ lifts my faith to new heights,” Berry explains. “It’s a powerful declaration that God’s faithfulness is unchanging, a constant in the chaos of life. It’s my reminder that He’s always come through and He always will. Every note and every word speaks to the soul, affirming that God is exactly who He says He is.”

In turn, the inclusion of “Gratitude” is her intimate call to thankfulness, adding, “‘Gratitude’ shifts focus from our needs to His sufficiency, reminding us of the beauty of surrender and the power of a thankful heart. Singing it, I’m transported into God’s presence, where thankfulness flows naturally.” The song was produced, engineered, and mixed by David Thulin.

Kayla Berry is no stranger to worship. Debuting her first album in 2010, most recently she was part of REVERE (Integrity Music, 2022), where she shared her live single “Run & Hide” with GRAMMY winning songwriter and worship leader Mitch Wong Following up with a studio version of the song, she will be releasing more new music in the coming months.

With a heart that has always leaned toward the lonely, outcast, and hurting, she shares, “I, too, know the pain of feeling alone and hopeless. I haven’t always been a ‘worship leader.’ There was a time when I was just a ‘song leader.’  It took much brokenness, many mistakes, and the grace of God to bring me to a place of knowing how to worship! When you’re hurt, you cling to what heals you. God has been that for me.”

It is Berry’s calling through her music ministry to share that no matter what has gone on in your life or what you’ve been through, there is hope. Her heart’s prayer is to break through religious boundaries and barriers to lead both the young and old into the presence of God where they can experience the mercy and joy she has experienced through God’s wonderful love.

Today, Columbus, Ohio Worship team, Open Heaven releases “Never The Same.”  The 3rd single release leading up to their album releasing this fall, “Never The Same” (DREAM Worship)

This live track was produced by Scott Mearig and was co-written by Alexis Keesee, Amy Freudiger, Erik Parise, Jeremiah Willams, Zach Traylor.

“Never the Same” was written by the Open Heaven songwriting team, including Alexis Keesee, Amy Freudiger, Erik Parise, Jeremiah Willams, and Zach Traylor.

The song was inspired by the incredible story of a young woman seeking answers to the mental torment and hopelessness she was experiencing in her life. Worship Pastor Amy Freudiger explains, “This young mother had been tormented by destructive, fearful voices in her head, and she didn’t know how to get free or who God even was.”

But one night this lady had a dream in which she saw the exterior of Faith Life Church’s building and she heard a voice saying, “Go there. They can help you.” When she woke up, she drew a picture of the building. Not too long after that, she was driving down the road and spotted the church building, recognizing it immediately from her dream!

She attended that weekend for the first time. Amy explains, “We will never forget her face as she walked up to the altar for prayer. She was so tormented by demonic thoughts, she couldn’t even speak. She just looked like death in the eyes as she handed a note to our pastor. In the note, she had written a plea for help.”

As the worship team ministered in song, they watched as this woman gave her heart to Christ, received prayer from the pastors, and encountered the mercy and power of God she so desperately needed.

“All of the torment and anguish left,” says Amy. “Her countenance was radically changed, like night and day! She stood up and just looked like a different person. That’s when I spontaneously started singing what would become the bridge of our song Never the Same, saying:

‘All things are new. I’m no longer hopeless.
Jesus you give me purpose.
Here with you, no longer hopeless.
On the cross you changed my name!
I’m never the same!’

“We finished writing the rest of it that week. I’m happy to say that this dear lady has found lasting freedom and has brought her entire family to the Lord! She is a living testament to the power of Jesus,” says Amy. “As we celebrate the resurrection this Easter, let’s remember the cross changed everything. And it has the power to change us.”

Los Angeles-based label DREAM Label Group has signed Phoenix, Arizona artist AWZY to its DREAM Records division. Made up of Austin Moore and Jefferson Houston, AWZY’s debut single “Better Now” is an indie-rock masterpiece.

The track was produced by Austin Moore and co-written with Jefferson Houston, Eden Cislo. “Better Now” is available on all digital retail and streaming service providers.

“I wrote Better Now at a point in my life when I was wrestling with the relationship between grace and works. After I would screw up, I believed that I had to get my own act together before God would allow me back into his presence. But that’s not how it works – we are saved, healed, and made whole by God’s grace through Jesus Christ.
