With his new album, Eddy Puyol, formerly known as Christian rapper Rawsrvnt, wants to assure listeners Nothing Changed But My Stage Name.
It’s not the first project since the modified moniker (see 2022’s Pronounced Pooh-Yole), but it’s still a question posed to Puyol from time to time. The project’s title also reminds him to align the purpose of both his life and music.
“Over the years it just felt natural to adapt my performance identity from Rawsrvnt to the name I was given at birth. But best believe I’m still on the same mission to honor God and love people through my art,” Puyol said.
This current collection of songs proves to be quite the self-portrait for Puyol. Several, “Like a Cadillac” and “Bang Bang Baby,” sample his previous work. Others, such as “Everything I Got,” “Good Time,” and “You Gotta Vibe,” all draw inspiration from various members of his family. Eddy also had a large hand in producing each track with longtime collaborator Chuck Hemann.
“It’s quite fulfilling to design and build a work like this,” Puyol said. “The name on the album cover might be a bit different than you’re used to, but the message in the music will always be the same.”

Dr UD Obi is a singer-songwriter with a passion for spreading the message of God, peace, and love through music releases her song titled Jehovah is Your Name.
Jehovah is Your Name is inspired by God’s faithfulness and his assured presence in my life during my time of need. A few years ago during COVID, I was going through a very difficult time; overwhelmed with life and health challenges that I felt that all hope was lost.
As a way to deal with my many challenges, I turned to God in prayer and by reading the bible more. At one of my devotional time, I was reading the bible and two verses keeps coming to me;Genesis 16 where Hagar a slave woman who was abused and facing a lot of afflictions gave God the name El Roi, (The God Who Sees Me) when God came to her rescue
And also the book of Isaiah; 42:8 where it said “I am Jehovah, that is my name; and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise unto graven images”I meditated on these passages for months and would always turn to them for comfort, believing that one day, Jehovah our God will also see me through. Over time, I came to the realization that God has always seen my afflictions and pains.
As he is always there to comfort me with his love and reassurance and message of hope in good times and in times of trials even when things don’t seem to be going how I would ideally want them to. It then dawned on me that God has actually given me those verses as a reassurance of his unwavering love and presence.
And he has also given them to me as a new song to share with the world. Jehovah Is His Name, He Will Never Change and He Sees Us.
