An extension of River Valley Worship, AGES is the sound of the young people of River Valley Church. AGES came to life in many separate hearts. You could sit down with any given member of the band to listen to their piece of the story, and you’ll see God’s hand in its making.
AGES is a band, but their dream is for it to be so much more than that. They believe that God is doing something special in the next generation and desire to be a part of it. The heart behind their music is to inspire and empower young people to create.
Three-time GMA Dove Award-winning worship leader, singer-songwriter, author and podcaster Christy Nockels releases Knees To The Earth: Live From Keeper’s Branch. This EP features three tracks and is a taste of a live in-studio album that Nockels is slated to unveil this year.
Drew & Ellie Holcomb release their new Brick by Brick – the same day the duo kick-off their Feels Like Home US headline tour. The new EP is their first new music since 2023’s “Bones” single that followed 2022’s Coming Home: A Collection of Songs album – featuring songs the duo had written over the years along with new single “Coming Home,” a cover of Willie Nelson’s “On The Road Again,” and a re-recorded version of fan favorite “Hung the Moon.”
When asked about the new Brick by Brick EP Ellie shared…
“I love anytime Drew and I get to make music together. It feels old and familiar, and new all at the same time. Drew’s been traveling a lot on the road, so this batch of songs is a combo of ones we’ve written both apart and together, and I couldn’t love them more. These songs embrace steady love, dancing, and mystery, so naturally, I’m a big fan.” -Ellie Holcomb

Drew & Ellie Holcomb first met while Drew, a native Memphian, and Ellie, a native Nashvillian, were attending school together at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. When Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors originally formed in 2005, Ellie was a full-time member.
The couple married in 2006 and in 2012, Ellie left the group to pursue a solo career that has seen her release three studio albums of her own, including her critically acclaimed 2021 LP Canyon, and three children’s books along with accompanying albums and her adult devotional book Fighting Words. Drew and the band released nine studio albums, including their more recent critically acclaimed Strangers No More LP in June 2023 that produced the No. 1 Americana single “Find Your People.”
While pursuing separate and equally successful career paths, the couple has continued to collaborate personally – adding three beautiful children to their family – and professionally – putting on annual sold-out Christmas shows, releasing an album, singles, and an EP plus some touring along the way.
The Gaither Vocal Band is celebrating the season of love today with the completion of their Love Songs (Gaither Music Group) project: the release of their highly anticipated Let Me Be There EP and Love Songs CD, alongside an accompanying TV special and DVD. These releases, available starting today, are a heartfelt tribute to their wives and their love for them, showcasing the band’s unique blend of harmonic and soulful melodies.
“On Valentine’s Day last year, the Vocal Band wanted to try to do something very special for our wives, so we thought it would be a good idea to bring them into the studio and sing them some great love songs,” stated Bill Gaither.
“The lovely word LOVE has been so worn thin and desecrated that we can hardly use it to express what we all so long to find. What we actually seek is the courage to know and be known, to trust enough to see and be seen as our most vulnerable selves,” said Gloria Gaither, describing the meaningfulness of this recording. “So these songs were chosen in the hope for the courage to see our most primary relationships with the purity and power of what LOVE was intended to mean—concepts including: I see you. I trust you with my heart. I promise to not run away when the road gets rough. I promise to find joy in simple things.”

The joy and wonder shared through these songs sparked their desire to share their versions with worshippers beyond their church walls. “These songs have a deep theological Christmas messaging,” said band member Chris Fox, “but the packaging is high energy and fun.” “Christmas Volume 1” is a project full of hope, joy, and light – reflecting the gift that God brought to earth in the form of his Son at Christmas.

King wrote and led the opening, title track of the EP, “Steadfast Love,” which was inspired by Lamentation 3:22-23 and features a full band, choir, and string section. The song also becomes the first live performance music video from the recording. Recorded at Grace Presbyterian Church, the video was premiered this week by Worship Leader at https://worshipleader.com/worship-culture/grace-worship-video-premier-steadfast-love/.
“‘Steadfast Love’ explores the lament of the heart when faced with sorrow, sin, and the devil, and yet points us to cry of the Lord’s love in the midst of it all,” says King.
Along with the title track, the new EP features “Hallelujah Who Shall Part,” which is Grace Worship’s rendition of William Dickinson’s hymn written in 1846, “Dear Refuge of My Weary Soul,” a hymn written by Anne Steel in 1760 with music added by Matt Merker in 2014, and “My Gentle, Lowly Savior,” inspired by themes from Dane Ortlund’s book Gentle and Lowly. It also features “The Twenty Third Psalm,” a poem written by George Herbert in 1633 based on Psalm 23, and “Jesus, Do Not Look on Me,” a new hymn written by Dr. Bryan Chapell and set to the tune of Antonin Dvorak’s “Largo” from the New World Symphony.
“As people take in these songs, we pray they are brought into the true reality, where God loves them more than they love their sin; where shame is defeated and grace abounds; and where praise is a healing balm for the soul because the object of our praise is that safe,” prays King. “All glory to God for the steadfast love He continues to give us through Christ our Lord!”
