Billboard’s Top New Christian Artist of 2023, Forrest Frank, has won his first-ever GMA Dove Awards for New Artist of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Song of the Year with his massive hit “Good Day.”  The first-time nominee also performed a medley of the winning track along with his viral hit “No Longer Bound” during the national broadcast, which aired earlier this evening on TBN.

Frank spoke with Billboard earlier this week, echoing the sentiments in his Dove-Award acceptance speech, saying “This whole journey just has felt like a gift from God, and He’s just continued to bless me with new songs and new ideas,” Frank adds. “I can’t take any credit for it. Anytime anything good happens, it’s just like, ‘Okay, God for whatever reason has selected me as a vessel for Him.’”

Following the success of Frank’s genre-debut GOD IS GOOD EP, which reached Top 5 on the Top Christian Albums chart, his first full-length project, CHILD OF GOD released this past July and quickly slid into the No.1 spot on the iTunes All Genres chart. 

CHILD OF GOD has held the No.1 spot on the Billboard Christian Albums Chart for NINE weeks, making it the biggest Christian album debut of the year so far.

Frank’s new radio single, “Never Get Used To This” featuring JVKE debuted at #30 on the Mediabase Christian Audience chart on September 20 with 1.5M in total audience.  The track is already trending Top 25 on Mediabase Christian Audience and Top 40 on Mediabase Christian AC this week with 13 stations on, including KLOVE, Spirit 105.3 in Seattle, The River in Columbus, The Light FM in Asheville, JoyFM in St. Louis, The Fish in Cleveland, Boost Radio network and Life 88.5 in Kansas City.

In addition to album sales and radio hits, the momentum Frank has generated with his music is explained in the massive and continued growth on his socials, with a base that has boomed to over 4 million fans on Instagram, YouTube and TikTok alone, and over 6 million Spotify monthly listeners.

Fresh off of her Ryman Auditorium headline debut, PLATINUM-certified, GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter Anne Wilson took home the award for Bluegrass/Country/Roots Album of the Year for her recent album REBEL at the 55th annual GMA Dove Awards. Wilson also captivated the crowd with a performance of her No. 1 Christian radio hit “Strong,” joined by producer, writer and longtime collaborator Jeff Pardo.

The awards ceremony, which took place on Tuesday, Oct. 1 at the Allen Arena in Nashville, Tenn., aired tonight (10/4) exclusively on TBN and TBN+ and simulcast on SiriusXM The Message at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. ET. With this award, Wilson brings her Dove total to three wins in the last two years.

Just days before, Wilson performed to a sold-out audience during her Ryman Auditorium headline debut as part of her nationwide The REBEL Tour. The night featured a special guest appearance by reigning ACM Song of the Year winner Jordan Davis, who joined Wilson for a rendition of their duet “Country Gold” from REBEL.

Fans echoed every word from the Ryman’s hallowed pews as she performed her breakthrough country hits and chart-topping Christian singles.

The GMA Dove Awards win and her sold-out Mother Church debut come on the heels of the release of Wilson’s latest track, “Stand.” Penned by Wilson, Matthew West, Jeff Pardo and Jonathan Smith, “Stand” sees “bright production and a balanced country-pop instinct” become “a shining foil for her powerful, twangy vocal and a message of holding fast to one’s convictions,” Billboard praises.

Wilson will continue to bring her mesmerizing performance to her nearly sold-out The REBEL Tour with special guest Jordan Rowe throughout the fall.

Independent singer/songwriter Josh Wright has released a brand new poignant song, “The Fall,” which will be going for adds at radio today.

Coming from a small town in Texas, Josh Wright’s story is one filled with faith, music, and resilience. At the age of 17, he lost his father to cancer during his senior year of High School. He attended Belmont University on a scholarship with an esteemed four years filled with showcases and a semester abroad at King’s College.

His story continued with another tragedy losing his 16-year-old brother in a car accident when Wright’s career was just beginning to take off. After spending several quiet years to heal and focus on life beyond music, it wasn’t until recently that he felt God calling him back into music.

“About three years ago, I felt like I heard God whisper, ‘Josh, sing.’ So one small step at a time, I re-joined the worship team at my church, and I went through hundreds of unfinished song ideas about the broken pieces of my life and shaped them into a message of hope which is becoming my debut album,” shares Josh Wright.
