Musically, the song draws heavily from 80s and 90s references like Pantera and Skid Row. The track is capped by a scream inspired by a Def Leppard concert. Longtime Disciple listeners will likely reminisce about By God and This Might Sting A Little eras of the band as “If You Say So” careens at a breakneck pace through the squeal of guitars and vicious vocals.

The song is already being road-tested as Disciple takes stages across the country on The Anthems Tour, supported by Seventh Day Slumber and Magdelene Rose. The tour kicked off at the start of the month and will continue through the end of November. You can find all date below:

Michael William Releases Powerful Acoustic Track “What’s Wrong with You” Calling for Spiritual Awakening

Michael William, a former police officer and U.S. veteran, has unveiled his latest live acoustic track, “What’s Wrong with You,” a heartfelt call for spiritual revival and action among Christians, especially during this critical election season. The song, which merges Christian and country music influences, is deeply rooted in William’s faith and his patriotic love for his country.

Known for his simplicity and sincerity, William’s raw, acoustic sound in “What’s Wrong with You” reflects his straightforward approach to music. His varied life experiences, which include being a police officer, logger, farmer, and sawmill operator, shape his songwriting and give his music a grounded, authentic feel. Each of these experiences, along with his deep devotion to his family and his faith in Jesus Christ, comes through in his songs.

In a recent interview, Michael William revealed his driving inspiration behind the track, stating:

“I believe we’re in a time where Christians need to stand up and be accounted for in this country. This song is my message to those who love the Lord, love their families, and love this country. It’s a reminder that we are the solution, not the problem, and that through Christ, we can be the light this world needs.”

The single carries a powerful message about faith, freedom, and personal responsibility, urging listeners to reflect on their own values and to take bold action based on truth. William’s music, heavily inspired by scripture, calls Christians to be the “salt and light” of the world, as emphasized in Matthew 5:13-16.

“This election isn’t about personalities,” William says. “It’s about principles. God has called us to vote and act on the truth. My hope is that this song will inspire others to live out their faith boldly and make a difference in our nation.”

Having grown up playing guitar with his father at 14 and writing music by 17, Michael William’s musical journey is one of love, gratitude, and unwavering faith. His acoustic performance of “What’s Wrong with You” can be viewed in the official music video on his YouTube channel, while fans can stay connected with him on TikTok and Instagram for the latest updates.
