[Music] Love Won’t Let Go – Branan Murphy

Fresh off his first career chart topping radio single, Branan Murphy returns with his newest single, “Love Won’t Let Go” (Paravel / DREAM) now available at all digital service providers. The song was produced by Grammy nominated and 2021 Dove Award winning producer of the year Jordan Sapp.  The song was also written by Branan Murphy, Jordan Sapp and Dove Award winning songwriter, Paul Duncan.

“The past few years have been some of the hardest years of my life”, says Murphy.  “My faith has been challenged, my identity has been challenged, I’ve experienced a lot of disappointment, failure, and longings. But I’m learning that when I go through things like that is when Jesus holds on to me the tightest. These are the moments when faith is proven genuine, and as much as life has hurt me, I’m really thankful to God that he would allow things to happen so that I would know just how deep and satisfying and sufficient and real his love is. I might want to give up, but he never will. I might want to run away, but he will never leave. The essence of following Jesus is not about the measure of my love for him. It’s all about how immeasurable his love is for me. His love is perfect, his love is patient, his love will never let us go.”

The single comes as Branan enjoys growing buzz and building momentum off the success of 2021’s “Better King” EP which features the aforementioned number one single “This World Is Not My Home” and current hit single “Better King”. “Love Won’t Let Go” will be the lead single from his upcoming sophomore LP Life is Hard, God is Good set to be released later this year.

“Dream is once again excited to partner with Sam Fisher and the Paravel Records team on Branan’s next venture,” adds Lance Brown, Parter at DREAM Label Group & Publishing.  “With every single, Branan is taking large leaps forward and every song just keeps getting better and better.  We are excited to see what God will do with this fantastic song.”

[Music] Snapshot – Zachary Ray Ft. Nathan Walters

International artist Zachary Ray releases his new pop single “Snapshot” (featuring Nathan Walters) this Friday, co-written with Brandon Bee, produced by Plus One band member Nathan Walters.

Inspired by John 17:3, “Snapshot” was written to show listeners the power of finding their identity by prioritizing what God is doing in the world and what His plan is over their own plan. The song breathes Coram Deo (meaning all of life is lived before God) and Imago Dei (Meaning all of life is lived to image God).

“I think as creatives we can get sidetracked from our calling and caught up in what we are achieving,” said Ray. “Using music to speak truth is an incredible honor. We have wonderful opportunities to make the name of Jesus famous and have to be careful of trying to make our name famous above His.”

Along with Ray, the writing and production teams involved artfully crafted the song’s unique synth beats and inspirational lyrics to make the song stand out and lead every listener to believe this truth.

A snapshot of your love
A hologram so all can see it’s you
A snapshot of your love
A mirror on the wall to tell the truth

Listeners of the song will take away a great reminder of the main goal Ray has identified for followers of Jesus: To make Him known and prioritize a relationship with Him.

By listening to “Snapshot,” musicians, listeners and the artists who wrote and produced the song alike will be called every day to make Jesus’ name famous above all else.

[Music] Keep The Faith – Fuel 4 Soul

West Virginia-based Christian rock band Fuel 4 Soul has been making an impact on CMW’s Christian rock charts with their debut single, “Keep the Faith.” The song is a stirring call to steadfast hope in a God who is in control, no matter how dark things might seem.

“Jesus will be returning, so there is no need to fear,” lead vocalist Gary Caserta says. “We feel this song isn’t just for Christians but for everyone to know that there is no need to fear, but to just stop and ‘Keep the Faith.’”

“Keep the Faith” was recorded with Jeremy Noel at Noel Sound, with mixing by Jon Sambrick at Thornwall Studios. Although this is Fuel 4 Soul’s first single, the band itself has been in the works for a long time. Gary Casertas and Mike Hall have been friends for over 20 years, both with their own sets of experiences in playing in bands and writing songs. They envisioned starting a project together. Four years ago, Mike married Beth, who also has a passion for music and ministry. The circumstances were finally just right to practice their calling.

“With mine and Gary’s longtime friendship, and then Beth and I coming together and growing in our faith, it all fit perfectly with our love for music and sharing God’s word,” Mike explains.

“I felt that we each had this calling to use our talents to call others to Christ,” Beth agrees.

Much of the band’s creativity happens at their own Rocking For God Studio, with Mike at the recording helm. The band is currently cooking up more music for their debut EP, which promises to keep building the blend of heartfelt and hard-rocking.

“Keep The Faith” sets the stage for this ongoing ministry, promising to feed hearts that are hungry for a reminder of God’s power and love. As Mike summarizes, “I want to praise Him, honor Him, glorify Him in all we do and bring others to Him through our music.”

[Music] Lovely Day (Cover of Bill Withers) – Semaje

Detroit, Michigan has a deep musical history. It spans from the1960s  Motown Sound and Bob Seger’s 1970s Old Time Rock & Roll to the 1980s Gospel of The Winans and Eminem’s Rap reign in the 2000s. Another great talent, SEMAJE, has now emerged to rep the city with his own brand of urban inspirational music. The twenty-something singer-songwriter has dropped his neo-soul rendition of Bill Withers’ 1977 gem, “Lovely Day” (Tyscot), and it’s now available on all major digital music platforms:     https://smarturl.it/tstyx8

SEMAJE hails from a musical family on his mother’s side and his love of music was further nurtured at the Rock of Ages Church of God in Christ (COGIC).  “My dad took me to church there,” he recalls. “I loved it. I was singing and into everything. The First Lady, Valerie Mitchell, really took time with me and she groomed me.”

As soon as SEMAJE graduated from high school, he sought to make his musical dreams reality. His go-get it personality prompted hm to print up some flyers and to begin booking himself for concerts. Soon, he found a manager in Alvin Ford who helped him release his first recording, “Winner,” in 2017. “I have some friends Attiya Henry, Diamond Henderson, and Dominique Ward who were my street team,” he recalls. “They were spending their own money just to help me.”

Back in 2018, SEMAJE heard about a music conference sponsored by super-producer Fred Jerkins (Beyoncé, Michael Jackson, Jennifer Lopez) and decided to go with hopes of furthering his career. “It cost $1,000 and people told me not to waste my money,” he recalls. “I went and learned a lot. I was on the plane going back home and got a text from Fred that he really liked my voice and he invited me to be on a song.” That track, “Reason to Praise,” peaked at No. 29 on Billboard’s Gospel Airplay chart in 2020 and introduced him to a national audience.

“I’m an old head,” SEMAJE laughs in talking of his “Lovely Day” release. “I’d listen to Michael Jackson, Earth Wind & Fire, Bill Withers. I believe we need some music that we can start the day with, and I wanted to put out an inspirational song to give us that morning push.” His mellow treatment  of “Lovely Day” serves as a showcase for his smooth falsetto and the way he handles Withers’ elongated closing note is akin to a flock of doves being released into the sky. He soars and sways into the heavens just like this track does.
