Tommee Profitt Teams Up With Nicole Serrano For ‘The Creed Collection’

Multi-Dove Award winning producer and composer Tommee Profitt, has partnered up with Nicole Serrano to release his latest EP titled The Creed Collection, a project made up of cinematic covers of hit songs made by the popular rock band Creed. The four-track EP is available now. The first single of the collection “With Arms Wide Open”, was released last year and was used in the Oscars promo last month, shared and supported by Creed frontman Scott Stapp.

When sharing about the inspiration behind the four-song project, Profitt says, “Nicole and I initially did a cinematic cover of ‘With Arms Wide Open’ by Creed, and upon release it gave us the idea… ‘what if we did the other big Creed songs and put them on one collection?‘ …which led to the birth of The Creed Collection. He continues, “These are completely reimagined, cinematic versions of Creed’s biggest hits. We wanted to make a beautiful project that people would love to listen to, while hitting all the nostalgia buttons along the way! It was one of the most creatively satisfying projects I’ve gotten to work on to date. I am so excited to share these songs that EVERYBODY knows with the world, in a new, fresh way!”

Profitt is a self-made prodigy, having taught himself how to play the piano as a child and produced his first song at the young age of 12. [Music] Snapshot – Zachary Ray Feat. Nathan Walters & Geet Sagar

International artist Zachary Ray releases a new version of his pop single “Snapshot” featuring Nathan Walters and Geet Sagar. The track was co-written with Brandon Bee and produced by Plus One band member Nathan Walters.

Inspired by John 17:3, “Snapshot” was written to show listeners the power of finding their identity by prioritizing what God is doing in the world and what His plan is over their own plan. The song breathes Coram Deo (meaning all of life is lived before God) and Imago Dei (Meaning all of life is lived to image God).

“I think as creatives we can get sidetracked from our calling and caught up in what we are achieving,” said Ray. “Using music to speak truth is an incredible honor. We have wonderful opportunities to make the name of Jesus famous and have to be careful of trying to make our name famous above His.”

Indie Christian Artist Spencer Annis Shares “Coming Clean”

Spencer Annis is a rising singer-songwriter based in Lynchburg, Virginia. His new single, “Coming Clean,” is an intimate worship song and spirited indie rock anthem that pushes the sonic boundaries of both worship music and Christian pop/rock.

After independently releasing singles, EPs, and even several albums since 2017, Spencer partnered with renowned CCM label Integrity Music for his upcoming singles and LP release. His new song, “Coming Clean,” was released today April 8th, and the full album will be released in July of this year.

The new single by Spencer Annis, “Coming Clean” is a song of reflection and repentance for allowing pride to creep in. He hopes the song will inspire listeners to a deeper place with God in their own prayer lives and reflection of how pride might also be affecting their ministry.

Recording sessions for this song and the upcoming album mirrored what you’d expect from a typical DIY-era rock band. Vocals were tracked in Spencer’s home studio, Drums in co-producer Joshua Sosin’s backyard shed, and guitars in co-producer Benja Schick’s bedroom.

“Coming Clean” features Spencer, Benja, and Joshua as the sole musicians. The trio worked together for months to transform Spencer’s intimate, worshipful arrangement into a fully-produced new song with cohesive instrumentation and flow.

Along the way, they drew inspiration from a wide array of artists, including Maggie Rogers, Kevin Garrett, Ben Howard, and Typhoon, along with indie artists in the alt-Christian sphere like John Mark McMillan, Jon Foreman, Josh Garrels, and more.

Download Mp3: A Woman (Live at the Ryman) – FAITHFUL, Amy Grant & Ellie Holcomb

FAITHFUL’s ‘A Woman’ is performed by Ellie Holcomb and Amy Grant, telling the story of Jesus’ revolutionary empowerment of the first women who told the world of his resurrection. The single was recorded live at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, capturing the warm, powerful vocals and authentic interpretation inhabiting FAITHFUL’s musicianship. Written by Ann Voskamp, Ellie Holcomb, and Sarah Macintosh, ‘A Woman’ poetically tells the story of a woman who didn’t quit by fear of irrelevance and crippling grief but followed the way of Jesus in love and obedience to Him. Her name was Mary Magdalene, the first witness of the Lord’s resurrection.

‘A Woman’ is built around Jesus’ apparition at the empty tomb as he calls Mary’s name and shatters her paradigm of sorrow. With this profound song, which was featured on Good Morning America, FAITHFUL revive our hope that we too can say, “once my name crossed his lips, how can I keep silent…” Because the tomb is empty, our lives aren’t. It’s only because the stone is rolled back that our surest hope comes back. From its emotionally charged verses and catchy chorus to the epic bridge, ‘A Woman’ is an ode of defiant joy and validation to be Christ’s voices in this world!

Coming to life in the winter before the pandemic, a group of well-known and respected authors and songwriters gathered as a community to write and share songs. Their work came to be known as FAITHFUL: songs and stories of God’s kindness to women throughout history and here with us today. Their debut album ‘FAITHFUL: Go and Speak’ shares songs from many of today’s renowned artists, songwriters, and authors; each song on this special thematic album featuring a woman telling the story of God’s faithfulness throughout Scripture to the present day. This collaboration between artists and authors has led to a collection of poetry and resonance through song. Artists involved on the album are Amy Grant, Ellie Holcomb, Ann Voskamp, Sarah Macintosh, Sandra McCracken, Ginny Owens, Leslie Jordan, Christy Nockels, Rachael Lampa, Kelly Minter, Savannah Locke, Sarah Kroger, Christa Wells, Tamar Chipp, Jess Ray, Janice Gaines, Trilla Newbell, and Taylor Leonhardt.

This version was recorded in a room full of Mission House’s friends live in Raleigh as a testament to God’s faithfulness to bring us through any situation. For Mission House to weave new and old songs in such cohesive way whilst highlighting their congregational potential shows their songwriting’s steadfastness.

A 7-song live record served as Mission House’s official self-titled debut with Integrity Music in 2019, followed by their 2020 studio album, I Heard A Song I Can’t Ignore. The worship songs captured on this album were released the next year in engaging acoustic audio and video versions with guests including Josh Baldwin, Andrew Peterson, and Leslie Jordan. Now working on a live album scheduled for mid-2022, the duo continues to establish their immense songwriting talent and musicianship. The friendship and shared vision behind Mission House create a beautiful and tangible space for intimacy, where people can commune with one another and with their Creator through simple and joyful folk/rock worship music.

Ultimately, Mission House are driven by their focus on people, and making worship that truly serves others as individuals first, and the body as a whole secondarily.
