Jodi Essex To Release New Music Later This Month

…what limits? Exuding the brave confidence it takes to defy all impossibility, Christian-Rock Artist Jodi Essex’s upcoming six-track EP, “Fearless,” is a call to build the Kingdom with the strength of a warrior. Having survived cancer at 25, Essex’s courageous perspective on life is powered by an innate sense of mission and belief all people have immeasurable worth. In the face of turbulence and adversity, especially when it comes to sharing the Gospel, “Fearless” is about learning to fear less, conquering fear with unshakable faith; “Fearless” lyrics implore listeners to be “steadfast in [their] fight” in the title track and music video out June 24, 2022, and the “Fearless” EP out July 8, 2022.

“We are encouragers called to serve,” Essex declares, “regardless of what that looks like in our respective lives. We must be bold and fearless in our leadership, proclaiming the unrelenting and powerful sway of our Almighty.” She goes on to ask, “When did Jesus shy away from doing what must be done?!?!”

Through an inspired collaboration with Artist/Producer Josiah Prince of Disciple, Jodi Essex’s EP was co-written at Prince’s renowned studio, “The Ranch,” in Nashville, TN. With a process Essex describes as having “an easy ebb and flow,” Prince has raised the bar with respect to her rock-infused sound; the EP also features creative collaborations with Mix Engineer Matthew Arcaini, Sam Moses of Moses Mastering, PR with The Marketing Mixtape and Endeavor for Content Creation. As Essex went into the studio for this music project, there was a desire for transparency to answer age-old questions about how to stave off fear. Woven throughout all six songs are themes of fearlessness from previously-released singles “Offend,” about speaking one’s beliefs boldly, to “Unravel,” peeling back layers of vulnerability in God’s presence. In addition to the title track, “Fearless” includes “Lean,” encouraging listeners to boundlessly lean into God during struggles while also resisting the chaotic flow of culture, “Bandaid” about embracing instantaneous tenacity and “Shine,” a reggae-rock track about exuding the inextinguishable light from within.

fearless

Jodi Essex’s music has caught the attention of industry gatekeepers and listening audiences alike. In “Fearless,” the relentless six-track series continues Essex’s unapologetic proclamation of the Gospel. Her debut album released Summer 2020, “Irreverent,” instantly resonated with listeners as featured tracks rose into top-20 ranking. Essex’s music has been celebrated by outlets including NewReleaseToday, CCM Magazine, JesusFreakHideout and Worship Leader Magazine who gave it rave reviews. In addition, Essex’s debut album quickly racked up over 70k streams on Spotify, where its songs landed on several prominent playlists, including “New Music Friday Christian.” With the album release for “Irreverent,” Essex took to the [cyber] stage with a livestream performance, proving her ability to bring ground-breaking messages to life in person.

No matter what walls may exist in her listeners’ lives, “Fearless” was created to help them tear it down with the profound might of a living, breathing relationship with Jesus Christ. “In turn,” Essex offers, “the same can afford us the opportunity to build ourselves back up stronger and more fearless than we could ever imagine.”

Don’t miss the single and video release for “Fearless” on June 24th, 2022 and full EP July 8th, 2022 as you await what’s up next for Jodi Essex, including a CCM Magazine Cafe performance early July. From there, the future is both fearless and bright as she is building her repertoire with another EP, hoping to produce a multi-artist concert to benefit Ukraine Refugees and moving forward with plans for an exclusive tour experience led by female artists.

Tiffany Parker Releases Single Inspired By Overcoming Chronic Illness

Rising artist Tiffany Parker is set to release her newest single, “Try,” this Friday.

The single is an anthemic Christian pop song inspired by the Christian faith that kept Parker going amidst her decade-long journey through severe chronic illness. “Try” is filled with both deep vulnerability and uplifting hope.

“My prayer for this song and sharing my testimony is to show people that no matter what you face, there is hope and a God-given purpose for your life,” Parker said. “To encourage people to keep moving forward towards an abundant life no matter where they find themselves. For them to see a vision of a future. For them to believe again.”

i try

Parker is often asked how she keeps going through trials and tribulations. Her simple answer is Jesus. As the artist and songwriter, Tiffany Parker beautifully articulates this in the lyrics of the single:

Parker hopes “Try” inspires listeners to believe again and go after God’s call for their life– knowing that God is not done with them yet and that He has abundant life filled with purpose planned for them. She desires to connect with the hearts of people who need hope and strength to get up and keep going, even when life is pressing in.

She can be found sharing her own personal story on her website tiffanyparker.com. You can also connect with her on InstagramYouTube, and Spotify. Listen to and share “Try” to help the message reach, encourage, inspire and empower a new generation to rise above and walk on top of their challenging moments and circumstances.

Ellen Hayes Follows Up Chart-Topping Tune With “Walk In The Spirit”

The Gospel music industry has been raving about multiple Rhythm of Gospel Award Nominee Ellen Hayes. Radio stations, music blogs and television shows have been showcasing the talents of the gifted, Detroit-based vocalist, songwriter and organist. Her most recent single, “We Owe It All To You,” racked up tens of thousands of streams as has her accompanying music video.

The song held the #1 spot on radio playlists for stations such as Synergy 1 Radio, The Donna Walton Gospel Network and NIA Radio. Multiple GRAMMY Award Nominee and Editor of The Journal of Gospel Music Robert Marovich said about the project We Owe It All To You, “the album contains a greater number of individually distinctive and quality gospel songs than one typically finds on albums today”. Now from that same acclaimed CD comes Hayes’ follow up single, “Walk In The Spirit”. Dubbed an “aisle walker” by Marovich, “Walk In The Spirit” is currently available for purchase and streaming on all digital outlets and is already hitting radio.

One of many impactful songs from the pen of Ellen Hayes, “Walk In The Spirit” is a liberating and rousing church tune. A true hand clapper, Cynthia Gross, Hayes’ daughter takes the lead mic on the record. Known for writing songs with lyrics straight from scripture, “Walk In The Spirit” is no exception; the song is pulled directly from 2 Corinthians 3:17. Not only is the track a reminder of how believers should walk, but the message is close to the heart of the songwriter. “These bodies we live in are two people,” says Ellen. “We are flesh and we are spirit; they don’t get along and they don’t eat the same things. The flesh desires the things of the world, and the Spirit desires the things of God. As Christians, we must choose to ‘walk in the Spirit’ on a daily basis.”

Never one to stray from scripture in her songwriting, she began penning songs when her late father, a pastor, insisted that his church only sing songs that were compatible with the word of God. A choir director at the time, she says that mandate “opened up the creative part” of her. Since then, her music has been featured on a project from the ensemble, True Inspiration, which included Ellen and her brother, Dr. Raymond Edison as members and on her debut solo effort, 2012’s Step Into Your Blessing, produced by Michael Mindingall. A favorite with Gospel music fans, Step Into Your Blessing netted Ellen four Rhythm of Gospel Award Nominations. Her music was also featured on the Gospel Music Workshop of America’s 50th Anniversary CD, Bringing It Back Home. Held in Detroit, the project included Ellen’s worship tune, “Oh King”.

In addition to blessing the listener with her own moving vocals, Ellen’s latest record, We Owe It All To You, features the vocal talents of her three daughters, LaToya Bellafant, Cynthia Gross and Carmen Hayes. A wife of 40 years, Ellen is also the church musician at her home church, Word of Truth Church in Detroit, Michigan, pastored by Rufus Hayes and founded by her father. Both her single, “Walk In The Spirit”, and the project, We Owe It All To You, are available on all major digital outlets.

The musical powerhouse is one of the most relevant voices of our generation. “This new album is my celebration of God doing New Things!” says Tribbett. All Things New is a must-hear musical evolution of one of music’s most iconic artists. Pre-Order All Things New HERE.

To accompany the album’s pre-order, Tribbett shares “New” – a single off the forthcoming effort. “New” is a testament to Tribbett’s ability to stretch the bounds of his musical identity beyond the genres and styles that so closely define his roots as a creator.

This track instantly grabs with the entrance of monastic, chanting vocals, giving off that feeling of communal acceptance you experience when standing at the center of an overwhelmingly excited crowd. As Tribbett emerges from the crowd, he commands attention, “new, new, new, everything new,” with unmasked confidence and power emanating from every syllable. “New” exists within an ideal intersection of modern hip-hop sensibilities (drawing from the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Chance the Rapper) and referential ties to his gospel and blues background. Tribbett’s latest single explores some uncharted sonic territory, all while maintaining the qualities that make him so singular.

Tye Tribbett has had a tremendous career and is globally-known for his charismatic, energetic, dynamic personality, and range – from delivering high-energy praise songs to intimate worship moments and even African rhythms to trap beats. His music cannot be classified as just one genre, but his unique, abstract way encompasses all, which has helped him garner many awards and accolades, including: two Grammy wins & seven Grammy nominations, five #1 albums, four #1 digital tracks, three #1 radio singles, and ten Billboard Top 10 songs.

Download Mp3: Bless Me – Maverick City Music x Kirk Franklin

GRAMMY award-winning music collective Maverick City Music and 16-time GRAMMY winner Kirk Franklin will bring the injustices around mass incarceration – and the voices of 1,300 inmates – to center stage with the release of their collaborative album KINGDOM Book 1, out June 17th via Tribl Records / Fo Yo Soul Entertainment / RCA Inspiration. Today (June 3), “Bless Me” is available now ahead of the full project.

Maverick City Music’s newest single “Bless Me” is an infectious celebration of the bounties of life as they already are—taking the time to recognize the blessings already bestowed upon you rather than those you lack. As countless unyielding voices refrain, in stacks of traditional gospel harmonies, “we’ve got everything we need.”

Drum lines, snare rolls, and energetic horns call to mind the image of a football field or a pep rally, drawing a connection between these two spaces of celebration and powerful community. Rapid-fire hi-hat rolls and 808s frame the song with an unmistakably modern punch. More than anything, “Bless Me” evokes the electric, invincible feeling of being surrounded by your people and strengthened by their love.

“Kingdom,” the first song from the Maverick City Music x Kirk Franklin collab stayed atop the iTunes video chart (all genre) for almost two weeks. The album ‘Kingdom Book 1’ — a collaboration with Maverick City Music x Kirk Franklin brings the topic of mass incarceration into the forefront — and it’s out Fri. June 17th, the 7th anniversary of the shooting at the Episcopal Church in Charleston, SC (a native town of two Mav City members). The collective recorded the album with more than 1300 inmates at the Everglades Correctional Facility in Florida.
