Yusuf Yakubu formerly known as “Gospel General” is a UK-based Gospel minister, born and brought up in Nigeria, a photographer, meteorologist and an entrepreneur who just released his highly-anticipated single, BURN. The sensational worshipper and minister launched the new song on Sunday across all streaming platforms.

While the title captures the ‘Consuming Power of the Lion,’ the song captures a heart cry in the words of Prophet Jeremiah – Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay (Jeremiah 20:9, KJV). Yusuf shares a heavy dose of encouragement with his new song;

“A broken and a contrite heart, an immense desire to turn from old ways to the way of the Lord. The cry of a continual fellowship and touch with the Holy Spirit. A prayer to only does what Jesus has laid in my heart to do. Only a heart that is consumed by the fire of God can do such things. A heart that carries and runs with the fire of the Spirit of God. This song is a prayer.”

As a professional Sananda Yoga coach, Ananda Xenia Shakti has been diving into music production for some time now, bringing listeners very powerful reflections like I Am Love. Now with Cosmic Quiver, I find that this attention to detail and mastery of the different tones, and how they affect the psyche may have legitimate merit to it. Cosmic Quiver couples deep trance chants with melodies inspired by India and other spiritual locations. The rhythms are syncopated with a dance-like shuffle, blending this deep instrumentation to potential commercial success. It is this marriage of modern Western pop harmonies which sit over the original Eastern melodies which make this track hard to dismiss. The majestic, and elegant chant-like signing pulls the listener into a trance-like state while keeping the inner spirit pulsing to the beat.
