Hezekiah Walker, Karen Clark Sheard & Kierra Sheard Join Producer Stanley Brown On “God Is Good”

Stanley Brown is Gospel music’s go-to producer and composer, especially when a project calls for a fresh but authentic sound laced with Godly reverence and an urban feel. He has worked with everyone from Karen Clark Sheard to LeAndria Johnson to T.D. Jakes. His discography also includes Run DMC, Christopher Williams, Dru Hill and a host of urban artists, making his position in the music industry multi-faceted, unique and highly sought-after.

A humble giant in the genre, Brown has spent his entire career cultivating music projects for countless artists. Now, he is cultivating a project for himself: the release of “God Is Good” on his own Timeless Music Group label. Brokered by TITLE9, Timeless Music Group has entered into a distribution partnership with music powerhouse Roc Nation. Written and produced by Brown along with Rodney Jerkins and J. Drew Sheard, “God Is Good” is an effervescent track that is sure to become an anthem.

“This song represents the best that Gospel music can offer,” says Brown. “We have the greatest vocalists making a declaration that is simple and relatable, over a beat that will attract music fans from a multitude of genres. It’s a song that we had fun putting together, and that we hope motivates the masses to declare just how good God is.”

As the song begins, Hezekiah Walker proclaims “this is the vibe we’re on, no negative energy,” and it sets the tone for the entire track. Karen Clark Sheard and Kierra Sheard trade pristine vocals that imbue every lyric with perfect-pitch joy.

Rodney Jerkins says “God Is Good” is a song that the Gospel genre needs right now. “It is infusing the genre with something new sonically, and has a message that everyone will gravitate to.”

“God Is Good” is the prelude to an upcoming album project that Brown is completing, which will continue his track record of blending an urban sound into contemporary Gospel music.

“It is an honor to be in business with Roc Nation, and I am grateful that they believe enough in me and my vision to bring Timeless Music Group into their family for this project,” says Brown. “My career was shaped early on by being an executive at Island Black Music, and still having a focus on Gospel. I think when we – as a business – approach Gospel music as the crucial component of Black music that it actually is – we win.”

God Is Good” is available now on all digital service providers.

Songs From The Soil Share Second Release After Successful Launch

Songs From The Soil launched in early January as a community of British worship artists and songwriters passionate to craft songs infused with the flavor of their local context. They introduce their second single, ‘Real Thing’, a folky tune led by Kate Cooke and Marc James. Written by the latter alongside Norwegian songwriters David André Østby and Maria Lundbak Hinge in a season of global lockdown, uncertainty was permeating their creative process.

The quest for a “true narrative” amid political divisions, riots, and restrictions was a worldwide obsession. ‘Real Thing’ is a song for the Church – God’s people – to reaffirm the greater reality of the Kingdom of God growing, always. “This song was birthed out of a longing to see the church rise from the ashes and shine bright in this world in this time again,” Marc James says.

Biblically, this new release from Songs From The Soil is rooted in themes of repentance, returning, and refreshing as the song combines lament and hopeful joy at once. ‘Real Thing’ is a rallying cry for the church. It is a song for unity, written in unity. “The reason for what we do is to build up and edify one another,” Marc concludes.

The new single from Songs From The Soil is an invitation to ask ourselves some hard questions, and a simultaneous source of inspiration to live uncompromisingly in God’s eternal vision for his beloved world.

Andrea René Returns With A Danceable Love Song To God For Valentine’s Day

The love of God is incomprehensible, inexhaustible, and inescapable. Although February is known as the month of love for couples, Contemporary Gospel Artist Andrea René (formerly known as Andrea René Williams) is reminding believers and non-believers alike that the ultimate love comes from God and God alone.

Her brand new single, “My One True Love,” is the artist’s latest single, and it debuts just in time for Valentine’s Day. A danceable track, “My One True Love” is the artist’s first release on her Inspirational Song Factory record label. Produced and performed by the artist herself,

Written by Andrea René, “My One True Love” came to her last February. “Last year as I was thinking about Valentine’s Day, I thought about how much the holiday focuses on human love. And although romantic love is a beautiful thing, many of us have bruised hearts because of relationships that didn’t work out; I definitely have experienced that.

But as I continued to think about my past broken relationships, I remembered that the Lover of my Soul has never broken my heart. His love has been the only love to carry me through some of the darkest times of my life,” says the songstress. It was these ideas that became the lyrics of “My One True Love”.

The track is quite different for the recording artist, and the EDM-influenced song will conjure up thoughts of dancing on the floor of a Christian club. “This track is the most contemporary track I have ever created,” she says. “At first when I finished it, I was hesitant about releasing it. But the more I listened to it, the more I liked it.

Andrea René Returns With A Danceable Love Song To God For Valentine’s Day

Now I think it’s one of my best productions,” says the producer and engineer. “My One True Love” will be featured on her forthcoming debut vocal album. Currently, Andrea is putting the finishing touches on Believe, a project scheduled to release this fall. Her instrumental EP, Soul Oasis: The Instrumentals was released in 2020 and a previous single, “Who Do I Run To,” also dropped in 2020.

A singer since the age of four and a pianist since the age of seven, Andrea René has been blessed to sit under world-renowned, award-winning ministers of music including Richard Smallwood, Byron Cage, and Ricky Dillard. She has sung the National Anthem for the NBA’s Washington Wizards, the WNBA’s Washington Mystics, and the Georgetown University Hoyas.

A summa cum laude graduate of Berklee College of Music and a former Recording Academy/GRAMMY Awards Manager for the Washington, DC Chapter, many know her as the CEO of the celebrated public relations & marketing firm, The Tehillah Agency (formerly known as Tehillah Enterprises).

Throughout her illustrious career in the music industry, she’s represented indie artists and legends; this year she celebrates 25 years in the music business.

[Music] WEEEAKDAYS – Reece Lache Ft. Holy Gabbana

“But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. [2 Corinthians 12:9]”

To the ones who exist in the background. The time to pick ourselves up is now. People talk, but the chosen are the ones who do. When we feel weak, it is He who makes us strong. So strong in fact that the Word tells us that we can do all things. Not some things, but we will succeed in the good plans He has made for us.

Days have not always been memorable ones for Reece Lace’. Even so, her determination has been steadfast. Resulting in the Louisiana artist breaking barriers and reaching levels that at one point appeared improbable. With the release of her single WEEEAKDAYS, Lache’ features Holy Gabbana to help pen an anthem for listeners who find themselves on the frontlines.

WEEEAKDAYS is pure energy from start to finish. Produced by Aidas Veselka, the single marks the second release of 2023 for Reece Lache’. The signature melodic delivery and expert-level penmanship are both present as Lache’ continues to cement herself as a trendsetting force within Christian rap. There is no time for slowing down; there are no days off; too much is at stake to be stopping now.

WEEEAKDAYS drops on digital streaming outlets on February 10, 2023.

Procyse Partners with J. Rhodan For the Collaborative Single, “Need You”

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Phillippians 4:19)”

Procyse and J. Rhodan prepare for their upcoming EP with the lead single Need You.

In the midst of a crazy world, Need You delivers a calming vibe that allows the listener to remained focus on the source of our help when we’re in the storm. The J. Rhodan production is simplistic in its approach but still hits hard without negating the laidback feel. It is truly a perfect compliment to the smooth vocal delivery by Colorado’s Procyse.

While Pro has plenty to get off of his chest on the record, he does so with control and conviction as he flows through his bars with a captivating cadence.

“We need God in everything we do,” explains Procyse. “This song is a reminder to constantly seek after him.”

Need You releases to digital music platforms on February 10, 2023.

New Single from Kate Stanford YOUR HEART Set to Release Valentines Day, February 14, 2023

Kate Stanford, a rising vocal tour-de-force in the world of Christian Music, is set to release her newest single YOUR HEART on February 14, on all major music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.

YOUR HEART promises to be a divine love song just in time for Valentine’s Day. With lush harmonies showcasing her ethereal vocals and an upbeat sing-a-long chorus, the song celebrates God’s unstoppable and unconditional love, and our hope that the world will be transformed by His promises.

Kate shares, “YOUR HEART is a Christian love song about God’s unconditional love for us. No matter who we are, God will meet us with grace. He WANTS us to come as we are, He doesn’t need perfection. I believe that the ultimate love is God’s love, and to release this song on Valentine’s Day is a great way to celebrate that”

So just let him have your hard days

Every single time you feel afraid

He’ll take those battles that you can’t face

His Love makes it all feel light weight

Yeah that’s right

You know it’s true

The one thing he wants from you

He just wants your heart

Every single part

He knows where you’re at

Don’t hold nothing back

There ain’t no shame in being real

Cause He knows how you feel

You’re a living moving breathing

Work of art

And he just wants your heart

He just wants your heart

Kate continues, “We are all imperfect and inherently flawed humans. One does not have to be the “perfect Christian” to deserve God’s love. We deserve it all of the time at any stage in life.”

For YOUR HEART, Kate once again enlisted the talents of two-time GRAMMY nominee, writer/ producer Cindy Morgan, who previously produced several songs for the young artist. As their partnership continues to blossom, Cindy continues to mentor Kate’s songwriting and vocal talents, creating an unmistakable signature sound.

While music is always her passion, her drive doesn’t stop there. Kate balances her career with her education, as she is months away from graduating from the University of Texas. “I wrote YOUR HEART with the intention of singing it in the spring/summer time. I wanted it to be upbeat & to have a great groove – a “roll your windows down” kind of jam. I have upcoming shows both this spring and after graduation, and singing this will be a perfect way to celebrate!”

YOUR HEART tour dates:

Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors Celebrate Togetherness on New Full-Length Studio Album Strangers No More – out June 7th via Magnolia Music

Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors celebrate togetherness on their new full-length studio album Strangers No More – due out June 7th via Magnolia Records.

The new album was recorded in Asheville, NC at Echo Mountain Studios with producer Cason Cooley (Ben Rector, Ingrid Michaelson, American Authors) and Holcomb’s longtime bandmates Nathan Dugger (guitar), Rich Brinsfield (bass), Will Sayles (drums), and Ian Miller (keys).

Today’s news comes with the release of the album’s opening track “Fly” – a finger-picked folk song about the passage of time. It’s a gorgeous moment of reflection from a musician who’s learning to age gracefully, balancing the refined edge of his songwriting with a willingness to try new things.

Listen to the single HERE via your preferred DSP and watch the official music video HERE.

Strangers No More builds upon Holcomb’s spirit of collaboration that was sparked by 2019’s Dragons LP which featured co-writes with Lori McKennaThe Lone Bellow, and Natalie Hemby. For the new album Holcomb turned to several trusted and talented friends to write with including Hemby, Ketch Secor (Old Crow Medicine Show), K.S. Rhoads and Cooley.

Written on both sides of a global pandemic, it’s a record about the perspective of time, the rollercoaster of triumph and tragedy, and jubilation in the face of chaos. Holcomb and his longtime bandmates aren’t just reveling in one another’s presence after a long hiatus; they’re expanding their sound, too, finding room for timeless songwriting, modern-day Laurel Canyon folk, amplified Americana, and heartland rock & roll.

If Dragons was a rhapsody of life and family, then Strangers No More embraces a wider range of topics and textures. The songwriting is more introspective and universal this time around — “the kind of specific that applies to everyone,” Holcomb says — and the love songs that filled previous albums have been replaced by tunes that cover friendship, death, introspection, and Holcomb’s connection to his audience. “There’s a longer list of characters this time,” he adds.

Strangers No More offers an all-encompassing view not only of the places Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors have been, but where they’re headed next, too. From ageless folk music to atmospheric Americana to soulful rock & roll, the album marks an ambitious new chapter in the band’s story and is due out June 7th via Magnolia Music.

You can catch Holcomb on the road this month with his wife Ellie, dates and tickets HERE, and you can listen to “Fly” today via all DSPs HERE and watch the official music video HERE. Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors will be returning to Bonnaroo this year for a performance after the album drops and Holcomb cannot wait to share these songs live, so look for more tour dates this summer!
