In the midst of the challenges people face along with the circumstances, some may feel powerless until they recognize the true work of God. “This song is one most will be able to relate to as many people in the church might not be right with God. As the lyric goes, the distance between the devil and the Lord is your knees to the floor, says JD.”

Ahead of his sophomore album, JD Walker brings strength and comfort through lyrical references throughout the new single. “Your Knees To The Floor” was penned by Rick Tiger. JD says, “When Rick brought the song to me and started telling me the lyrics before he even got to the music part, I immediately knew I wanted to record it.”

Dove Award-Winning Worship Leader Yancy Releases “Super Wonderful (Funky Franklin Remix)”

Dove Award-winning worship leader, songwriter, author, and producer of hundreds of songs sung around the world that make Jesus loud, Yancy releases her brand new remix of fan favorite “Super Wonderful (Funky Franklin Remix)”

Written by Yancy and remixed by Will Franklin Chapman (Drummer of Colony House/son of Steven Curtis Chapman), the new version of “Super Wonderful” is based on the original powerhouse song inspired by Yancy’s son Sparrow and his love of superheroes.

“I wrote this song to share about our ‘super big, super strong, super wonderful God,’ the greatest superhero of all time!” exclaims Yancy. “It’s been sung in churches, schools, homes, and minivans around the world. And it’s always a blast to perform this song live!

“However, I remember having an ‘aha’ moment last year thinking about my son and how he inspired me to write this song,” continues Yancy. “Because of his inspiration, this truth has been sung on the lips of so many kids and families making a significant impact beyond what I could have imagined.

The beauty of music is that everyone has their own story attached to songs. No doubt this one is full of them because, in every season, our God is super wonderful indeed.”

This year, Yancy is celebrating 25 years of music, and the new remix is a celebration of that milestone. Recruiting Funky Franklin (Will Chapman) to remix the song, Yancy also had help from her son Sparrow, now 12 years old, who used his artistic talents to create the graffiti art for the cover and the design for the T-shirt.

She also created and arranged her first Christmas musical for Lillenas Music entitled Best Christmas Song Ever with Yancy, an energetic and unique new musical geared to children’s choirs.

The musical follows along as a group of kids competes in Yancy’s challenge to write the best Christmas song ever while learning important lessons from the Christmas story.

“Life has come full circle, the journey gets sweeter, but even still, nothing has changed about our super wonderful God,” shares Yancy. “Along the way in my career, God directed me to make music for children and families. Worship is a big element of that.

The fact that I get to help kids fall in love with Jesus one song at a time is an honor. I’m thankful for my past and His faithfulness which is my testimony – but I’m also excited and expectant for my future. In many ways, I feel like I’m just getting started.”

In the coming months, Yancy can be found leading worship for First Baptist Dallas’ iCampus Kids, and at numerous churches across the country as she leads worship for Vacation Bible School (VBS), at camps and speaking at events such as the Experience Conference in Orlando, FL (Aug. 29 – Sept. 1), the KidzMatter Conference in Nashville (Murfreesboro), TN (Sept. 12 – 14) and more.

[Music] You Mean The World – MŌRIAH

Recording artist, actress and producer MŌRIAH releases “You Mean The World” today (June 9) at digital and streaming outlets globally from The Fuel Music via https://slinky.to/YouMeanTheWorld. The song is the second of several singles set to debut in the coming months from the multi-artist A New Heaven And A New Earth project that is slated to premiere winter 2023 / 2024.

Writing, producing and engineering “You Mean The World,” MŌRIAH also enlisted Andrew Bergthold (We The Kingdom) to play stringed instrumentation. The resulting, beautifully crafted song of love envelopes concern for the world and everyone in it.

“When something or someone is vulnerable and unprotected, the first responsibility is to care,” says MŌRIAH. “I couldn’t have written these lyrics if my heart didn’t ache over the ways I’ve not taken that responsibility seriously in the past. The phrase ‘you mean the world to me’ is typically something I’d say to my family or a child. This is the same delicate care I want to attribute to the earth and its Creator.”

Along with the single, MŌRIAH collaborated with up-and-coming director Phynley Joelto capture a companion video for “You Mean The World” in both Rome and Nashville, which is slated to release later this month.

Reflecting on when she was first asked to participle in this A New Heaven And A New Earth project, MŌRIAH reveals, “At the time, I was having honest conversations with some of my closest creative collaborators about the hole in our community of songwriters. One of the few things that unites every person on this planet is that our feet are all planted on the same spinning miracle. By nurturing nature, we’re caring for each other.”

MŌRIAH’s single follows the debut, A New Heaven And A New Earth track from GRAMMY® nominated, Dove Award-winning Building 429 lead vocalist Jason Roy. His “It’s All Yours” released May 12 and was named on the Apple Christian Best New Songs list as well as featured on its New in Christian and Rise Up curated playlists.

Additional songs have been produced for the A New Heaven And A New Earth project by well-known Christian artists that felt led to participate, responding to the call to write and record a song on taking care of Creation. The songs, collectively covering rock, pop, hip hop, R&B, indie, folk/ Americana and more musical genres, are being released as singles monthly through November 17, 2023, with a full A New Heaven and A New Earth album slated to launch this coming winter.
