Pete Price Revives Romance with New Single and Lyric Video: “Old Movies and You”

The Dayton, Ohio-based singer-songwriter releases the latest single and video from his critically acclaimed “Department of the Interior” album. It’s the follow-up to his Top 15 UK iTunes hit, “Common Ground.”

DAYTON, OH – July 7, 2023 – Independent singer, songwriter, and guitarist Pete Price has released his newest single and lyric video, “Old Movies and You” from his acclaimed album, “Department of the Interior.” The heartfelt single lyrically encapsulates the unbreakable bond of love and devotion between a couple, despite life’s struggles.

The song reflects Price’s relationship with his wife, a two-time cancer survivor who recently suffered a small stroke. Price wrote “Old Movies and You” to remind couples that an attitude of appreciation can go a long way in strengthening a relationship.

In Pete’s own words, “My inspiration in writing this song was my wife and her ongoing health issues. As she slowly recovered, I thought more and more about how much she meant to me and how empty I’d be without her.

I vowed to make a better effort to do the things she wanted to do and to show her how much I love her. The song could have just as easily been about the end of a romantic relationship.

I’ve known that as well and the feelings can be devastating. An attitude of appreciation can go a long way in strengthening a relationship. When I introduce the song, I say, ‘Always tell that special someone how much you love them.’”

“Old Movies and You” is available now on all major streaming platforms. Fans can listen to the single and learn more about Pete Price at his official website: http://www.petepricemusic.com.

About Pete Price:

Having started his musical career in the late 1980s, Pete Price joined The Fries Band in early 1992, serving as the band’s lead guitarist for over 30 years. In addition to his notable work with The Fries Band, Pete’s independent musical endeavors have created a cult following of their own, while also receiving critical acclaim.

Tracks from Price’s “Department of the Interior” album have received more than 70K Spotify streams, to date. His previous single, “Common Ground,” reached #15 on the UK iTunes Rock Songs chart.

Today (July 7), Cory Asbury releases new music with “Kind.”

Today, multi-platinum-selling, Grammy Award Nominee Cory Asbury has released new music for the first time in 3 years via BEC Recordings. The powerful track, “Kind,” speaks directly to the human experience and the vulnerability of truly living. It is a natural progression for Asbury, who has already made a name for himself for his raw and cutting lyrics that dive headfirst into the spaces of life that many in his industry shy away from.

kind

” Kind” grapples with what it means to indeed be human,” shares Asbury. “Loss, failure, and grace are what make life painfully beautiful. All the ups and downs create a way for forgiveness and healing – a winding path to kindness. I hope this message resonates with others who may be battling their struggles and I pray they find comfort knowing they are not alone.”

Jesus Culture Releases “All In” From New Project

Worship Collective, Jesus Culture, will release a brand new project, Why Not Right Now?, on July 21st. Today the group drops a new song, “All In,” from the forthcoming album.

The album was recorded live in Costa Mesa, California. Why Not Right Now? is the first new project from Jesus Culture since 2020’s two-volume Church project.

Worship Collective, Jesus Culture, has released a new song, “All In,” from the forthcoming new project, Why Not Right Now?, released on July 21st. The newest song is with worship leader Brett Lee Miller and was recorded live in Costa Mesa, California. Pre-order/pre-save the album and listen to

“I had this sensation of both God promoting us to new levels while simultaneously feeling completely unqualified actually to inhabit the new territory He was calling us to,” shares Brett Lee Miller about the inspiration behind the new song. “Things were both great and seemingly impossible all at once.

I love songs that come in the opposite spirit of hardship, but I also feel like as a writer, we owe it to listeners to be brutally honest about what following Jesus actually means. I wanted this song to be an invitation to rededicate ourselves to the true beauty and cost of Christian life.”

whynotrightnow

Co-written by Miller, Chris McClarney, Patrick Mayberry, and Brenton Brown, the song was birthed out of vulnerable conversations dealing with how a yes to God can be costly, not easy, but good and dangerous all at the same time.

Miller adds, “With Jesus, death becomes a prerequisite to resurrection. Following Him is so much more than a ticket to heaven, it’s a life willingly laid down again and again. In the words of the great C.S. Lewis, Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.― The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.”

Brett Lee Miller is a worship leader, songwriter, worship pastor, and an integral part of the Jesus Culture family. He carries a hunger to see the local church equipped for revival and is anointed to lead God’s people into His presence through passionate, respectful, and authentic worship. Brett, his wife Jessica, and their three kids live in San Diego.

KB Drops “Glory 2 Glory” From Upcoming Project

Today (July 7), KB drops “Glory 2 Glory” from His Glory Alone II, due Aug 11.

Coming off the heels of a successful book launch, Dove-Award-winning and Billboard chart-topping rapper KB has announced his highly-anticipated fifth studio album, His Glory Alone II (Sony’s RCAI/Provident Entertainment) set to drop on August 11 and fans can pre-save the album now. In support of the album, the Southside Rabbi podcast co-host surprised fans with the first single from the forthcoming project, “Glory 2 Glory,” a hip-hop spin on the Fred Hammond gospel classic, available now.

“A lot of us grew up singing ‘Glory To Glory To Glory’ by Fred Hammond; It was a charismatic cross-cultural hit,” explains KB. “The song itself is a good record to summarize what this album is about. The first album His Glory Alone was Glory to God and this album is Glory 2 Glory.

There is always more when you are talking about God. He is infinitely inspiring, forgiving, and loving, every aspect of God is infinite and deeper. You never get to the top of the ladder, it just gets more beautiful. When we get things in this life that are glorious like success, even those pale in comparison to Jesus and I would give up all of those for Jesus.”

hisgloryaloneII

“Glory 2 Glory” is one of 16 tracks on His Glory Alone II, many of which listeners will hear music influences from not just hip hop, but gospel, afro-beats, and soul with a few worshipful ballads in between. Serving as the sequel to his previous record released in 2020, KB partnered up with producers WEARETHEGOOD, Scootie Wop, and Cardec Drums to deliver a full-length project that expresses the infiniteness of God.

Additionally, KB peels back the layers of his own heart and journey, facing childhood trauma, abandonment, confusion, and doubt with unapologetic transparency.

“I never talked about my life like this on a record,” shares KB. “When you listen to it, I hope you hear and understand the passion of a broken, but committed man. Maybe you can see yourself in this man. That’s who I am. I’m a son whose wounds are being healed as a father. I’m a husband who is serious about leading in my household. I’m an institution builder who cares about helping people.”
