Brooke Ligertwood Drops “Fear Of God” From Forthcoming Solo Album ‘Eight’

Platinum recording artist & GRAMMY® award-winning songwriter, producer, and worship leader Brooke Ligertwood released her first single, “Fear of God,” from her highly anticipated sophomore solo album, “EIGHT.” Available today along with an accompanying music video (premiering at 5 p.m. PDT / 8 p.m. EDT), the premiere track is featured on the 11-track studio project that is slated to drop globally on Oct. 20. Listen to “Fear of God”, and preorder “EIGHT.

Says Ligertwood, “I’ve gotten to write so many songs in my life. Maybe a thousand by now? Not sure. Whatever it is, it’s more than I’ve deserved. I like most of them, wince at a whole lot of them (taste changes and skill grows, but the Internet is forever, God help me), and deeply love a good many of them actually. But there’s a small few that I feel an otherness about. This is one of those. I feel like ‘Fear of God’ is one of the songs I was born to leave here, and that’s just that.”

“EIGHT” follows on the heels of Ligertwood’s debut solo offering “SEVEN (Live)” which has garnered over 146 million global streams since its 2022 release. “A Thousand Hallelujahs,” the album’s lead single, has amassed over 25 million global streams, climbed to No. 2 on Multitrack’s Top Songs chart and made four international Top 50 viral charts, including #16 in the U.S. Follow-up single, “Honey In The Rock” has amassed over 94 million global streams.

Along with the aforementioned releases, Ligertwood has penned a growing anthology of beloved church anthems like “What A Beautiful Name,” “King of Kings,” and “Hosanna,” and devotional favorites like “Awake My Soul,” “New Wine,” “None But Jesus,” and many more. With 7 billion career streams and 20 million career album sales, her songs have been streamed globally more than 1.5 billion times, translated into over 15 languages, and have topped the CCLI chart with two no. 1’s, and several Top 25’s.

Danny Gokey’s Nonprofit To Host Better Than I Found It “Bus Stop” Give Backs As A Part Of His Fall Tour

Better Than I Found It, the outreach arm of the non-profit organization founded by three-time GRAMMY® nominee and American Idol alum Danny Gokey, today announced the initial details surrounding their Better Than I Found It “Bus Stop” give back events during Gokey’s fall events and “Stay Strong” tour with Austin French and Natalie Layne.

The give back events will shine the light on and provide tangible resources to hardworking individuals and non-profits making a positive impact in their communities, including those providing resources for the homeless in Nashville, a widow giving back and battling food insecurity in her community, an organization supporting veterans, and more.

“Doing the bus stops last spring was such an eye-opening experience,” said Gokey. “There are so many people in need. So, we had to keep it going for the Fall tour. This time we’re doing fewer stops with the intent of making a longer lasting impact on the nonprofits we’re helping. I can’t wait for you to hear the inspiring stories of these founders.”

Better Than I Found It “Bus Stops” will take place in four cities this fall. These cities include Nashville, TN, Macon, GA, Fort Wayne, IN, and Woodbridge, VA.

As a part of Gokey’s fall “Stay Strong” tour, Better Than I Found It will sell an exclusive “Giveback Backpack” throughout the tour. Inspired by a 16 year old who started a “blessing bag” ministry handing out hygiene products to the homeless, the backpacks will be sold as a set of two: one to keep, and one to fill with items to be given away to help someone in need.

All proceeds from the bags will go to support upcoming Better Than I Found It giveback events.

[Music] Better – Trampolines

Power-packed electronic group Trampolines continues their unstoppable momentum with the release of “Better,” a song created with writer and producer Nick Schwarz (CAIN’s “Rise Up Lazarus”).

“‘Better’ is a summer pop song with a feel-good, windows-down-and-cruise groove, and we have already been able to perform it on tour this year around the country,” singer Lane Terzieff says of the mood-boosting track.

More importantly, it rests on the band’s humanitarian and mission-focused heart, as defined by their faith. Lane says, “We made ‘Better’ with the idea that all the things the world has to offer are nothing compared to God’s love for us. In the Bible, Paul talks about counting all things as losses compared to Christ. We want to stand on this truth, to remind ourselves and everyone else.”

The concept he’s referencing comes from Philippians 3:8–9. “I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus, my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ.”

That faith has brought Trampolines around the world with songs like “Better” and their other 2023 singles “Rise,” “Waymaker,” “Wake Up” and “Hey You.” In addition to speaking and evangelism, Trampolines has also provided on-the-ground emergency assistance in war-torn regions in desperate need of food and aid, combated human trafficking, and brought hope to the most hopeless, addicted, and desperate.

“We set out on tour and on a mission to Mexico immediately following the release of ‘Better,’” Lane explains. “We will be performing at concerts and festivals, in prisons, in schools, and in rehab centers.”

[Music] Hymn of Healing – Austin Stone Worship

Today (Aug 25), Austin Stone Worship released new music with “Hymn of Healing”, featuring Matt Redman.

“Experiencing trials can lead us to question God’s goodness and to doubt His nearness in our lives. But the good news of the gospel is that God is always at work, healing and redeeming every part of our story! “Hymn of Healing” reminds us of the One who turns our sorrow into song.

Written as a collaboration with Matt Redman, this earnest song reminds us of God’s constant goodness and our need for His healing and hope. The honest lyrics acknowledge that, even though God heals some things immediately, we can trust Him with all that still seems fragile and unresolved.” -Austin Stone Worship
