Today, rising vocal powerhouse Anna Golden joins Sadie Robertson Huff on the WHOA That’s Good Podcast to share all about her new album ‘Church’ (8.11), her ministry career and so much more.
Golden’s new album ‘Church’ is a testimony to the power of perseverance through pain, as Golden’s passion for ministry shines through across ten anthemic tracks.
Golden discusses the following on the episode:
* The heart behind her new album ‘Church’
* The advice that helped her moved forward after breaking off an engagement
* The beauty and spirit of youth, and why it’s OK to act your age
* Growing from painful experiences without becoming bitter
* The importance of having difficult conversations with people we love when needed
* How therapy and faith are not mutually exclusive and how she used each to guide her healing journey
Golden grew up spending her time in and out of LA audition rooms before leaving prospects of fame behind to pursue full-time ministry. Her career changed forever when she was connected with GRAMMY-winner Tasha Cobbs Leonard, who chose Anna as the debut signee to her TeeLee Records label.
GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter Anne Wilsonwas rendered speechless as her Capitol Christian Music Group team surprised her with a celebration to announce that her debut single “My Jesus” is now certified PLATINUM by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The “deeply personal breakout ballad” (Billboard) has continued to fuel Wilson’s unstoppable career as it notched over one million units sold and counting, with numerous awards and accolades to its name.
Wilson’s momentous week extended to her debut performance at a Country award show during Monday night’s ACM Honors. She graced the historic Ryman stage alongside Jordan Davis to perform the double-Platinum, ACM Award-nominated No. 1 song, “Buy Dirt.”
“What a moment for the Lord, for my sweet brother Jacob, for my family, for the writers and producers, for Capitol Christian, and for ALL who have walked this unexpected adventure,” shares Wilson. “To see what God has done out of the deepest pain is such a precious gift that He has given to all of us. GOD NEVER wastes our sorrows. He uses them in ways we cannot dream of. I can’t wait to hug my brother again and talk about all the things God has done. Jacob must be beaming in heaven right now sitting with ‘My Jesus.’”
Called to her musical mission in the wake of tragedy, Wilson’s “My Jesus” – an empowering anthem of personal conviction wrapped in uplifting, roots-pop energy – served as her warm introduction to fans in early 2021. After going viral upon release, the single’s music video reached 7M views in its first week and 23M to date. The track hit No.1 on Billboard‘s Christian Airplay chart, making her the first debut female Christian artist in chart history to reach No.1, and was nominated for a Billboard Music Award for Top Christian Song.
The single also went on to be named ASCAP’s 2022 Christian Music Awards Song of the Year, reaching Spotify’s Viral 50, the Shazam Top 200 and Rolling Stone’s Top 25 Trending charts. To date, the song has accumulated 360M streams and 180M TikTok views in addition to notching PLATINUM status.

The follow-up to her introductory track was her now GRAMMY-nominated, 15-song debut album, My Jesus, which was released on April 22, 2022. As the biggest debut album by a CCMG artist in over 15 years, the “soul-touching record” (CMT) reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Christian & Gospel Albums and the Top 200 Christian and Gospel charts, topping her total global streams to over 722M.
As Wilson’s star continues to rise, she’ll embark on her first-ever headlining My Jesus Tour with special guest Josh Baldwin kicking off next Thursday. The nearly sold-out 20-stop tour begins on Sept. 28 in Houston, Texas and spans across the country with stops in major cities including Austin, Atlanta, Charlotte, Indianapolis and Chicago.
Earlier this summer, Wilson released “Seventh of June,” a deeply personal and heartfelt tribute to her beloved late brother Jacob. She also secured yet another Dove Award nomination for her 2022 Christmas project, The Manger, recognized in the category of Christmas/Special Event Album of the Year at the upcoming 54th Annual GMA Dove Awards, taking place at Lipscomb University’s Allen Arena on Tuesday, Oct. 17 and airs on Friday, Oct. 20 (8:00 pm ET and 10:00 pm ET) on TBN and the TBN app.
Multi-GMA Canada Covenant Award-winners Love & The Outcome return with the recently-released “Human,” a buoyant pop anthem signaling the husband/wife duo’s emergence from one of the toughest seasons of their life. The Curb | Word single, written by Love & The Outcome’s Jodi King along with Taylor Agan and Jonathan Gamble—who also produced the track—was inspired by the couple’s journey to rebuild their lives after the loss of their home in a flood two years ago.
“I remember playing a show the week after our house flooded and the first thing that came out of my mouth when I stepped onstage was, ‘You don’t become a Christian and stop being human,’” shares Love & The Outcome’s Chris Rademaker. “I think we’ve always embraced a pretty honest perspective in trying to vulnerably share with our fans what we’re going through, but what has shifted now is a letting-go of being ‘professional Christians’—the ones with all the answers who tie a bow on all the hard things.”

“We are human, transforming every day through our suffering to become more like Christ,” he adds. “We hope ‘Human’ helps people know that the story they are living is valid, and there’s no way to outrun God’s love for them. It’s ok to fall apart when you’re suffering. You’re not a bad Christian, you’re human.”
Further exploring the spiritual implications of loss and hardship, King’s 2020 WestBow Press title, You Got This, is set for reissue October 6 with five newly penned chapters. The 2023 edition, You Got This: A Guide to Living a Full Life in the Midst of Suffering. Detailing the challenges King and Rademaker’s family faced in the wake of their home’s destruction, the updated book also reveals how God strengthened their faith and expanded their understanding of suffering as they rebuilt their house.
“The first edition of the book was me sharing my life on the road as a mom, ditching perfect and showing up for my real, messy life,” King explains. “It was my way of redefining ‘you got this,’ not as a phrase that means you have it all together, but as an invitation to show up even when you don’t. Going through a season of suffering completely changed me, so these new chapters reflect how suffering can lead us to a deeper, fuller life. God is good; life is hard; it’s not one or the other.”
“There are three books of the Bible dedicated to lament, so I found myself in good company as I turned to those pages,” King continues. “There is room in the Gospel for grief. God doesn’t require a fake smile or a pull-yourself-up-from-the-bootstraps strength. He works just as well whether you’re up on your feet, down on your knees or lying in bed. I needed the book to reflect that—the fact that if your life is hard, you’re not doing it wrong…you’re doing it right.”
Are you worn out, dried up and searching for something more. Stir up your spiritual hunger. Are you satisfied with the status quo, get out of the norm, launch into the deep with Until I See.
2 Chronicles 16:9 it says The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. And in Hebrews 11:6 it says that God rewards those who earnestly seek (hunger for) him.
Close out to the distractions within and seek more of Him. Come draw from the well of the living God.

“I’m excited and honored to be hosting this year’s GMA Dove Awards – truly such a special celebration of Christian and Gospel music,” says Wells.
The theme for the 54th Annual GMA Dove Awards is Joyful Echo. Isaiah 42:12 from The Message says, “Make God’s glory resound, echo His praises from coast to coast.”
“What Joyful Echo makes me think of is the writer in scripture that says one generation will tell another of the greatness of God. That essentially the goodness of God will be echoed from one generation to another,” says Wells. “What joy it brings the believer to be able to tell those coming from behind us how great, how good, how awesome God is.
It’s also cool to note that as you declare God’s praises and sing of His goodness, it reverberates throughout history the greatness of our God.”
