Housefires Debuts Breathtaking Ballad “The Place Where I Belong”

Housefires is back with new music this week (October 20). This new track is a preview of what to expect from ‘How To Start A Housefire Part III,’ which is due out Nov. 3rd via Capitol CMG / TRIBL Records.

Featured artist Davy Flowers leads an enchanting gospel choir on this song of comfort as “The Place Where I Belong” kicks off the new album. She sings of the solace she feels in God’s embrace, saying that she’s found where she’s supposed to be.

Forbes says that Housefires’ music creates an “atmosphere of overwhelming unity.” Since its inception, worship leading, songwriting, and collaboration were re-evaluated and reconstructed to reflect the Housefires model that embraced a more unfiltered sound and approach to worship from the writing room to the stage.

Brandon Lake Releases 16-Track ‘Coat Of Many Colors’

5X GRAMMY® Award-winner Brandon Lake has released his highly anticipated 16-track new album, COAT OF MANY COLORS, today across all digital and streaming platforms. The new project features already-released tracks including, “PRAISE YOU ANYWHERE,” which broke streaming records on Amazon Music and earlier this week hit number one on the Christian Audience Chart.

Also included is “TEAR OFF THE ROOF,” in which the music video depicts scenes from the hit TV show The Chosen showcasing Jesus’ miracles at work. The album cover features Lake donning his very own coat of many colors inspired by taking “rags” and turning them into “riches.” The coat was designed by Greg Lauren, the nephew of the legendary Ralph Lauren.

“In many ways, we are all wrapped in a coat of many colors – we are clothed in the Father’s love and in his pride for us, and every one of us is his favorite,” Lake explains.

“We see in the story of Joseph’s life that he was misunderstood, he had dreams that got him in trouble, and he had to go through the process of trusting his dreams and being faithful to God. Joseph went from a pit to a palace, and this album explores that theme heavily.”

The single was recorded live in-the-round and led by Planetshakers band members singing along with Planetshakers Bible College students in their chapel.

“The whole heart behind the chapel recordings is to equip churches with big, powerful songs to help people change the atmosphere of whatever they are going through. This transcends any style or arrangement,” says Hunt. “While the album arrangements are meant to provide an easier way for churches to sing these songs, the thing that we don’t want to change is the passion and the spirit behind the praise and worship.”

“When we get together with our college students to capture the heart of worship, there is this passion and excitement in the room,” adds Pastor Sam Evans. “The students are at a point in their lives where they are so on fire for God. There is this beautiful, real and intimate roar connecting with God in an acoustic setting without the complexity of production.”
