Free Of Charge – Yadah

Singer, songwriter and fashion designer Yadah releases her highly anticipated single FREE OF CHARGE.

The Nigerian gospel artiste had previously released several beautiful songs and an EP “The Blood covenant” consisting of 8 tracks in September 2018.
Yadah prides in calling herself the “voice of Jesus to nations“.

“Free of charge” is a song that emphasizes on all that the cross means to us – Salvation, Redemption, Restoration and Reconciliation.

All of the Father’s plan carried out all by Himself without our input, Freely, we have received.

It was produced by the legendary Sunny Pee.

LYRICS

Oh oh oh
Oh oh oh
The love and grace that you have shown
So great and I can never pay but
You have given me free of charge

I can never pay
I can never pay but
You have given me free of charge
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
I can never pay
I can never pay but
You have given me free of charge

Heeeyyyyyyyy
Oh oh oh
Oh oh oh

How many rams do I have to slaughter
How many sacrifices do I have to offer
You’ve given your son once and for all
And I don’t have to pay no no
It’s free of charge

You pulled salvation plan all by yourself
You didn’t need my efforts
No you don’t need my input
If you were a man you would have asked that I should pay
But you have done it all for me

Free of charge
I can never pay
I can never pay but
You have free of charge 2x

The love and grace that you have shown
So great and I can never pay but
You have given me free of charge 2X

I can never pay
I can never pay but
You have free of charge 4X

If you were a man you would have asked that I should pay
But you have done it all
Free of charge
I can never pay
I can never pay but
You have free of charge

Top 12 Easter Themed Songs.

Easter, that special time of the year believers all over the world celebrates the death and resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, irrefutably the most eccentric milestone in the Christian faith.

COGHIVE has always had a flair for organizing playlists, Mixtapes for her peculiar audience and as such we have decided to make a list of the best Easter themed songs for 2019, which might just be impeccably resourceful to Choirs, Music Groups and bands.

We would very much appreciate your feedback by indicating your top Easter themed songs at the comment section.
Here below is our list of top Easter themed songs,

1 – What A Beautiful Name – Hillsong Worship

Hillsong Worship is actually no stranger to making chart topping songs and What A Beautiful Name is just a screaming example of how their angelic song writing aptitude can be. Extolling Jesus for all he did and who he actually is by reason of all that transpired at the grave.

This Anthem essentially earned them their very first Grammy Awards back in 2018.

2 – Christ Is Risen – Bethel Music

Bethel Music has indeed become a force to reckon with given the A-list artists making their rosters: Cory Asbury, Steffany Gretzinger, Jeremy Riddle, Amanda Cook and others making a tremendous impact in Gospel music under the label.

Christ Is Risen is basically from Bethel Music’s Victory Album (2019), an awe inspiring song lead by Hunter G. K. Thompson. An Easter classic expressing the joy of Christ rising from the grave.

3 – Victory Belongs To Jesus – Todd Dulaney ft K.

At the mention of Todd Dulaney, the song that comes to mind is Victory Belongs To Jesus guess we can’t help it given that’s arguably one of the very best songs he has inked which has also birthed quite a number of versions with collaborations with other artists.

This version was at a live recording in South Africa featuring award winning South African vocalist K. Lebohang. Trust us for always giving you the latest.

4 – You Got Up – Travis Greene

Travis Greene is apparently someone that has nothing to prove in the music world at large ( He was nominated three consecutive times for the Grammies), Him being himself is just breathtaking and he has never dwindled in being a blessing in fact his influence in the past five years can not be overemphasised.

You Got Up is a Caribbean themed melody celebrating risen King, who clearly got up so we could get up again.

5 – Forever – Kari Jobe

Contemporary Christian Musician Kari Jobe, who only just became a mother of two back in Febuary has always had this aura of leading people to the very deepest part of worship with her Timeless ballads.

This particular version of Forever was that she did with Bethel Music at one of their concerts. Apparently we couldn’t resist not having it on this list.

6 – Reckless Love – Darrel Walls (Musiqcity)

We can’t talk about Easter and refrain talking about the overwhelming and never-ending reckless Love of God. This season depicts how far the Love of God is willing to come after us despite our countless shortcomings.

Darrel Walls, eldest member and leader of the multi-award winning group Walls Groups did a fine job making this Superb version a classic featuring Keith Richardson off his solo Ep project back in November 2018.

7 – Agreed – JJ Hairston and Youthfulpraise

JJ hairston is practically one of the best music directors of our time and he has evidently been in his prime lately as we have observed from the stellar performances from him and his endearing group Youthfulpraise.

“Knowing all he would have to go through, He Agreed”.

This is actually an anthem any choir would want to hop on, A classic JJ Hairston & Youthfulpraise on an Easter themed anthem.

8 – You Took The Nails – Vashawn Mitchell

Thanks to Vashawn Mitchell’s CROSS Ep, The famed gospel artist was able to earn “A Traditional Male Vocalist” of the year at the just concluded Stellars. Even as we anticipate his forthcoming project, we couldn’t resist not having this on our list.

We can’t imagine what he endured, we’ll never know the pain but the one thing we know is that we have been redeemed as a result all he did at Calvary. He took the nails for us.

9 – Jesus Is Alive – Shana Wilson Williams

Shana Wilson Williams has actually enjoyed quite a lot of features in many top notch projects in recent times. However, she pulled a stunner in her latest 13-track project Everlasting.

Jesus Is Alive is an upbeat Easter themed song off the Everlasting album. Jesus is not only alive, but he is alive in us.

10 – Mighty To Save – Israel Houghton

Grammy Award winning music maestro Israel Houghton has actually made a lot of anthems in the church today and it’s no surprise we are literally having three of his songs on this list.

The Ben Fielding written song has sustained quite a number of covers, remixes, and remakes. Israel is obviously not shying away from making his own version. Definitely timeless Easter piece.

11 – Resurrecting – Elevation Collective ft Walls Group

In a nutshell Elevation Collective is an assemblage of award winning artists which includes Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Israel Houghton, Travis Greene, The walls Group and Tye Tribbett collaborating with Elevation Worship to produce a single album EVIDENCE.

Having The Walls Group on Resurrecting was irrefutably Epic, It would be fair to assume it couldn’t have gotten any better. By his Spirit, we will rise, From the ashes of defeat, The resurrected King is resurrecting in us. Who else to proclaim his victory if not us.

12 – Raised to life – Elevation Collective Walls Group

The very last song but not the least is a continuation of the above song “Resurrecting” accompanied with series of chants.

Yes our sin was strong but Jesus was stronger, Our Shame was great but Jesus was greater. Indeed our redeemer was, is and will forever remain stronger and greater than our sin and shame. Glory!

Imela – Favour Nwachukwu

Nigerian based gospel singer and song writer “Favour Nwachukwu” returns with a brand new single “Imela” expressing gratitude from the stalls of Abuja’s aced Producer Sunny Pee.

According to Favour, sometimes life throws tantrum at us, most of the time we accept it as our fate and others will see it as an unfortunate situation but Favour defines those tantrums as God strategically positioning her for a greater glory, for testimony, to educate and to rebrand her. “It is not how the storm hits us that matters, but how we deal with the aftermath of the storm” says Favour and in all this, she chooses to appreciate God for counting her among the living of today. It can only be God!

Favor started pretty early from the children’s choir at her local church. She has couple of albums to her name (Anya Mmiri m Atawo 1999, I am a Living Testimony 2000, Restoration Worship 2002, Restoration Worship 2 2007, I will follow you Jesus 2005, Stepping into my Victory 2012, Restoration Melody 2016)

Fighting For Me – Riley Clemmons

Fast raising American Christian Pop singer Riley Clemmons inspires faith in God with new single Fight For Me.

Riley Clemmons. Who only had her debut album back in 2018 has actually become a voice to reckon with and she doesn’t seem to be taking her foot off the gas anytime soon as she once again delivered a heartfelt single Fight For Me.

Fight For Me is basically a soothing melody reminding believers of how far God’s love is willing to go amidst chaos and all the odious tides of life.

LYRICS
I need the kinda love that can outlast the night
I need the kinda love that is willing to fight

When the going gets tough
And my strength’s not enough
I see You showing up like never before
This battle for my heart
You took on from the start
You are the peace when my mind’s at war
And oooh

You will never stop fighting for me
When I can’t fight for myself
Every word is a promise You keep
Cause You love me like nobody else
You stand up for me in the darkest night
When my faith is weak You’re still by my side
You will never stop fighting for me
You will never stop fighting for me

In the perfect timing You make all things right
You paint a silver lining in this heart of mine

When the going gets tough
And my strength’s not enough
I see You showing up like never before
This battle for my heart
You took on from the start
You are the peace when my mind’s at war
And oooh

You will never stop fighting for me
When I can’t fight for myself
Every word is a promise You keep
Cause You love me like nobody else
You stand up for me in the darkest night
When my faith is weak You’re still by my side
You will never stop fighting for me
You will never stop fighting for me

Your love
Is winning me over
Your heart
Is pulling me closer

Your love
Is winning me over
Your heart
Is pulling me closer

You will never stop fighting for me, fighting for me
Every word is a promise You keep

You will never stop fighting for me
When I can’t fight for myself
Every word is a promise You keep
Cause You love me like nobody else
You stand up for me in the darkest night
When my faith is weak You’re still by my side
You will never stop fighting for me
You will never stop fighting for me

Speak To Me – Enea Kelvin

After the release of the hit single Miyeruwe just two months ago, a dance and second debut single of the multi talented and anointed Enea Kelvin, she returns with a new single “Speak To Me”, a total song of surrender and worship to the King of Glory.

Speak To Me is Enea Kelvin’s third single, inspired in the place prayer. This song urges believers to surrender totally to the perfect will of God and also stir up the desire to listen and hearken to God’s word. I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect, Romans 12:1-2.

God is sovereign over all things and yet disapproves of many things. That is, He forbids some of the things He brings about and He commands some of the things He hinders and if only we can listen and yield to Him, then there won’t be any hindering or room to regret, rather, things will begin to happen in scripts and you can begin to see lights ( Psalm 119:105. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path ).

Here in this song, Enea Kelvin is calling on us all to surrender and yield totally to the will of God and ask Him to Speak to us every step of the way.

Just Be – Kim Walker Smith

American songwriter, singer, worship leader and pastor Kim Walker Smith dishes out fresh single “Just Be”.

“I wrote ‘Just Be’ with my friends Mia Fieldes and Jonathan Smith,” shares Kim Walker-Smith. “I wanted to write a song that the worship leader wants to put in their setlist and that isn’t too complicated. It’s a simple song (even a little old school) with a profound message; just be. When you come into the presence of God to worship Him, everything else can wait. There is nothing more important in that moment then just to be with Him and pour out your affection and adoration on the One who is worthy.”

AGREED – JJ Hairston & Youthfulpraise

Luminary gospel music duo JJ Hairston & Youthfulpraise offer easter tune “AGREED” off the forthcoming album.

JJ Hairston & Youthfulpraise are evidently having the time of their lives as gospel music enthusiasts can’t seem to have enough of them having saturated the airwaves with Miracle Worker and Onaga.

AGREED is basically an easter themed song, inspired by all that happened in Calvary- He agreed to do it, He agreed to die, knowing all that he would have to go through.

LYRICS

I heard an old old story
About a savior that came from glory
How he gave his life at Calvary He did it all just for me

They nailed him in his hands
They nailed him in his feet
They nailed him to a cross to die
He did it all just for me

Pre chorus

In those nails, was every mistake I made
The thorns were formed from my lies
The lashes you took; they were meant for me
But you told God you would take them instead

Chorus

You agreed to do it; you agreed

to die
You agreed to give your life to save mine
Oh What a sacrifice you made for me
Knowing all that you would have to go through
You agreed

I could never repay you
But Iʼm sure gone praise you
We love you We praise you Youʼre worthy
