“The first time I walked down the street in the red-light District of Mumbai, and saw a young five-year-old girl for sale on the street, I knew my life would never be the same,” shares Natalie Grant, co-founder of Hope for Justice. “I didn’t exactly know how I was going to do it, but I knew that I had to fight for her freedom. I’m so grateful for the team at Hope for Justice, who risk their lives daily, so that others can be free. The truth is all of us can do something. This issue is so massive and so overwhelming, it can be easy to believe that we could never make a difference. We can’t do everything, but we all can do something.”

Grant first became involved in the fight against human trafficking in 2005 after the realization that slavery still exists in the modern world. Following a life-changing trip to India she created an organization called Abolition International to continue the work she began on that trip. In 2013, Grant realized that her impact would be much greater if she worked with other organizations across the globe. Joining with Hope for Justice, the non-profit now has offices all over the US, UK, Norway, Uganda, Cambodia, Ethiopia, and Australia.

Though the organization has changed over the years, the mission has remained the same: to bring an end to modern slavery and human trafficking and to protect the human rights of victims and survivors. With a highly trained team of investigators, multilingual outreach workers, accredited trainers, legal experts, social workers, therapists, nurses, policy specialists, campaigners and professionals, Hope for Justice is on the ground in places that are most affected by human trafficking and modern slavery.

Joseph Habedank Speaks At Rehab In Dominican Republic

josephhabedankDR

“I’ve had the privilege of telling my story at every concert event for the last decade, but this one was special,” shares the GRAMMY nominated singer/songwriter.  “On the outside, I have very little in common with these special people: we live in different countries with different backgrounds and do not even speak the same language.  However, we have Jesus in common.  The power of His grace and redemption reaches far beyond the borders of any country or language barriers and has touched their lives the same way it touched mine.  It was an honor to encourage them, even briefly, in their walk to long-term sobriety.”

The visit to Centro Cristo Transforma was arranged by Wayne Duley, a former member of the Gaither road crew who now works at the facility in the Dominican. The non-profit ministry is based in Christian principles and is dedicated to reaching, treating and restoring people trapped in drug use, abuse and addiction, as well as educating and researching the problem of drug addiction.  Habedank continues, ”While addiction is a prevalent issue touching the lives of so many Americans, the struggles are not limited to any one country, demographic, race, or gender.  God can use these trials to reach the lost and hurting, and make them receptive to the Gospel.  It’s a common bond we can use to let them know that each and every one of us is in need of God’s grace in our lives.”

Lauren Daigle Celebrates Dove Award & Billboard Music Award Wins

What an exciting 2023 it has been for Lauren Daigle. Already a multi-platinum artist, Daigle has had a record-breaking year fueled by her self-titled release. Besides becoming the first artist to hold the No. 1 spot atop the Hot Christian Songs Chart for an astounding 20 weeks twice with her recent hits

“Thank God I Do” and, “You Say”, she’s received two GRAMMY Award nominations, has won her twelfth GMA Dove Award, and eighth Billboard Music Award, and topped five billion streams.

These accomplishments, and her irrefutable ability and desire to bring CCM music and messages of hope to a mainstream, global audience are unparalleled.

“My faith has always been at the core of what I do and still is. I am constantly reminded of how fortunate I am to see how people connect, not only to the songs, to each other but also to God and their faith,” shares Daigle. “The stories I hear from people I meet on the road, who have said the songs see them through tough times, inspire me greatly.

I am so thankful and blessed to have the opportunity to share these songs and hear that they’re connecting whether on the radio, in their car, streaming in earbuds, or live in concert. That’s all an artist can hope for is for the music to connect and inspire people.”

Daigle has been on the road with The Kaleidoscope Tour since early September with sold-out arenas and just added 33 shows for 2024, extending the tour that she has said has been ‘the time of her life’.

Since bursting onto the scene with her Platinum Certified debut, How Can It Be, Daigle has brought CCM to the worldwide stage. Her songs “Rescue” and the groundbreaking GRAMMY-winning song “You Say”, have become mainstays on the charts and have helped propel the two-time GRAMMY Award winner to superstardom.

In addition to her GRAMMY wins, Daigle has earned eight Billboard Music, four American Music, and twelve GMA Dove Awards, and has performed over 200 sold-out headline shows around the globe.

When Look Up Child debuted at No. 3 on the Top 200 Albums chart, Daigle became the first female artist in history to simultaneously hit the Top 10 on both Billboard’s Pop and Christian Album charts.

She went on to break another record when the LP reached 100 weeks at No. 1 on the Top Christian Albums chart, which is the greatest number of weeks that any artist has spent at the top of any individual album chart. Similarly, the six-time Platinum “You Say” is the longest-running No. 1 to appear on any weekly Billboard chart.

Her recent Mike Elizondo-produced, 23-song, self-titled album’s debut single, “Thank God I Do,” gave Daigle her 6th Billboard No. 1. In fact, the song sat atop the chart for 20+ weeks, making Daigle the only artist to have ever had a song top the charts for more than 20 weeks – twice.

It’s these accomplishments that seem to have consistently followed an artist whose musical thirst and desire to bring joy and hope to the world has yet to be quenched.
