Jasmine Brady’s ‘Lover Of My Soul’ Hallmarked By Authentic, Accessible Worship

An original collection of impassioned anthems created for corporate worship experiences as well as intimate moments of reflection, Lover Of My Soul, the latest recording from acclaimed singer/songwriter and worship leader Jasmine Brady, is slated for release May 10 from Regeneration Music Group.Produced by Burton Gaar, Lover Of My Soul features 10 tracks hallmarked by direct, Spirit-filled lyrics and memorable, accessible melodies.

Nine of the project’s selections were penned solely by Brady—a powerhouse vocalist who descends from Gospel music’s legendary Hemphill and Goodman families—while “Thank You Lord” was co-written by Brady and Jimmy Yeary (Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts).“As I watched the Asbury Revival unfold last year, I noticed they were singing simple songs that everyone knew,” Brady shares.

“They didn’t need complicated lyrics because it was about the worship and not about the song. God began to stir my heart and give me ‘simple songs’ that didn’t take a lot of effort to memorize and could easily be sung in worship to Him.”Album opener “Overflow” plots a joyful course for the modern worship set, exuding a palpable anticipation for the Holy Ghost’s movement.

Additional highlights of Lover Of My Soul include the title-cut, a soaring anthem declaring the truths of Scripture; the country-tinged revival call of “The Spirit and The Bride”; and “Carry Me (Joshua’s Song),” a poignant ballad of hope and encouragement honoring the life of Brady’s late brother.

“With Lover Of My Soul, I felt impressed to write songs full of victory and hope,” Brady adds. “People are facing impossible situations and Jesus is the only answer. When others sing these songs, I want them to be reminded that God has already won our battles at the cross and no one loves us more than He does. As Psalm 23 reminds us, we may walk through the valley of the shadow of death, but we will fear no evil because He is with us! His love truly is unfailing and never-ending.”

Talk about a monumental week! Not only my first national daytime television appearance ever [on the Kelly Clarkson show] but doing it the same week that “I See Good” makes it to the top of the Billboard Gospel Singles Chart! So amazing! A couple of years ago I was contemplating moving away from music, but to have this all happen shows you what God can still do with a “yes”. I’m so grateful! Thanking my team for all their hard work. Let’s keep going! I see good!,” shares Maurette.

Maurette Brown Clark’s voice is one that sneaks up on you. It steals into your soul and, before you know it, you’re feeling everything she’s feeling. Her epistles of hope and encouragement are so indelibly linked to your own story that you can’t shake them, even if you tried. But you don’t want to.

I SEE GOOD.” “I See Good” was written by multiple award winning artist Anthony Brown (Anthony Brown and group therAPy) and produced by Kenneth Shelton for KenHe Music. “I’m an encourager. Just like God encourages us with his Word, his promises, and his love. He sees us whole.

He sees us healed. He sees us delivered from sin. He sets us free from everything that may be holding us down – even if it’s ourselves. So this message is one that everyone can grab a hold of. I am hopeful that it will encourage more than just the Christian community, but people across every spectrum of the world,” mentions Maurette.
