Eddy Mann Takes Flight with Tender New Single, “Fly, Fly Away”

There’s a rare kind of beauty that comes from learning how to let go—a delicate grace that Eddy Mann captures with stunning clarity in his latest single, “Fly, Fly Away.” Released on May 12th as the sixth single from his acclaimed album Turn Up the Divine, the track is a poignant meditation on release, acceptance, and spiritual trust.

In “Fly, Fly Away,” Mann invites listeners into a space of surrender. With soft, soulful vocals over a bed of Country, Christian, and Southern Gospel Rock influences, he delivers a message that feels as timeless as it is timely. Life, after all, is filled with seasons—and knowing when to lovingly release what no longer serves is one of its greatest acts of faith.

The song’s lyrical simplicity is part of its brilliance. Phrases like “Fly away before darkness falls / Fly away to where destiny calls” evoke both the innocence of a lullaby and the wisdom of a seasoned pilgrim. Each stanza reads like a gentle blessing, encouraging the listener—or perhaps a loved one—to spread their wings and soar toward God’s unknown but trustworthy plan.

Eddy Mann has always been a master at weaving spiritual truths into the everyday textures of life. His roots in Philadelphia soul are evident in the warm, resonant tone of his voice, while his gift for Americana storytelling shines in the way Fly, Fly Away feels both personal and universal. It’s a song that could comfort a parent sending a child off to college, a friend letting go of a loved one, or anyone facing the bittersweet changes that mark our earthly journeys.

Musically, “Fly, Fly Away” is refreshingly understated. The arrangement leaves space for the message to breathe: a gentle acoustic guitar, a steady rhythmic heartbeat, and tasteful flourishes that hint at Mann’s gospel-rock background without overwhelming the song’s intimate feel. There are no grand climaxes or soaring choruses—only a humble, open-handed offering. It’s this restraint that allows the listener to sit with the song’s emotions, to pray with it, to feel seen in their own moments of letting go.

The accompanying music video (available on YouTube) complements the song’s reflective spirit with simple, heartfelt imagery. It’s a visual prayer—quiet, thoughtful, and full of light—that mirrors Mann’s gift for turning everyday moments into sacred experiences.

In a career spanning more than 20 albums, Eddy Mann has made it his mission to uplift, inspire, and bring light into the world. His songs have topped Christian and Americana charts alike, and yet his heart has remained steady: focused not on accolades but on service. “I’m driven to write, to record, and to perform by the opportunity to bring a smile, a light, or just a moment of reflection into someone’s life,” Mann shares.

“Fly, Fly Away” is a shining example of that mission fulfilled. In a world that often celebrates holding on at all costs, Mann offers a counter-testimony: that there is holiness in release, in trust, and in the quiet hope that God’s hands are strong enough to catch whatever we set free.

For fans of Michael Card, Andrew Peterson, and Fernando Ortega, Eddy Mann’s “Fly, Fly Away” will feel like a familiar and much-needed companion. It’s not just a song to listen to—it’s a song to live by.

As the final notes fade, one can’t help but feel a little lighter, a little braver, and a little more ready to trust the One who calls us all to fly.

Newsboys Announce ‘Worldwide Revival (Deluxe)’ Available May 30

Worldwide Revival Part One, released by Newsboys in 2024, offered a powerful anthem of faith, hope, and unity — echoing the spirit of a global awakening.

Now, the revered Christian band is building on that project with Worldwide Revival (Deluxe), a special edition of the acclaimed album, available May 30, 2025. Boasting four brand new studio recordings, as well as two new versions of songs from Part One, Worldwide Revival Deluxe marks the completion of the project amidst a season of unexpected change within the band.

“We’ve been on the Worldwide Revival Nights tour for nearly a year now, and have seen firsthand the way that these songs have connected with listeners across the world. It’s been an interesting year for our band, but despite the changes within our lineup, we wanted to come together to finish this project well,” says new lead singer, Adam Agee.

New additions to the project are brand new original songs Fortress and New Name, covers of popular worship songs Death Was Arrested by Northpoint Worship and God of Promises by Damascus Worship, as well as new versions of How Many Times (oh how You love me) and Christ and Christ Crucified – both with vocals by Adam Agee.

How Many Times (oh how You love me) released to DSPs in March, and is currently in the Top 20 at Christian radio. The focus track of the deluxe album is Fortress, a song inspired by Psalm 91 and the numerous ways this year that Agee, Frankenstein, Phillips, and Davis have had to lean on God as their fortress.

The album has made a significant cultural impact across digital platforms, with over 10 million video views and 45,000 short-form video creations using the album’s audio.

In addition to their musical achievements, Newsboys have continued to engage in meaningful conversations around faith, purpose, and culture with appearances on top podcasts including Unlocked With Savannah Chrisley, The Sean McDowell Show, and That Sounds Fun With Annie F. Downs.

“The Phone Call” Rings with Truth and Testimony from Country Veteran Richard Lynch

Richard Lynch isn’t chasing trends. He never has. He’s the kind of artist who shows up, guitar in hand, boots planted firmly in the soil of real life. And on his latest single, “The Phone Call,” he proves once again that sincerity and soul will always matter more than polish or pyrotechnics.

This isn’t just another country gospel tune with a Jesus name-drop for effect. “The Phone Call” is Lynch doing what he does best—telling a story so intimate and unaffected it feels like you’re eavesdropping on a man’s reckoning with his past. There’s no posturing here. Just a verse, a voice, and a truth that hits like a Sunday morning hangover turned holy.

Lynch spins a tale about a buddy who calls out of the blue after hearing a song on the radio. At first, it sounds like a catching-up call. But as the conversation unfolds, it becomes something more: a confession, a cry for help, and finally, a moment of salvation.

“I’ve done some things in my life that I’m not proud of,” the friend admits, “but I’m giving my troubles to Jesus, starting now.” Lynch doesn’t just sing the words—he inhabits them with the kind of gravity only lived experience can give.

There’s no flash in the arrangement, and that’s the point. A lonesome steel guitar haunts the background like a ghost from the Grand Ole Opry, while Lynch’s baritone—weathered and real—does the heavy lifting. It’s not trying to be slick; it’s trying to be honest. And in that honesty, it becomes powerful.

This new version of the track, pulled from his latest LP Pray on the Radio: Songs of Inspiration, reaffirms Lynch’s place as one of the few remaining torchbearers for true-blue country. While the genre’s mainstream often forgets its roots in favor of beer-soaked clichés and pop production, Lynch digs into the dirt of human connection. He’s not singing for stardom—he’s singing because he has something to say.

In a world of empty hooks and algorithm-chasing singles, “The Phone Call” feels like a lifeline. It’s not flashy. It’s not urgent. But it’s real. And that makes it radical.

Richard Lynch didn’t reinvent the wheel here. He just reminded us why it was built in the first place.
