Minister, Christian music artist, singer, songwriter and music producer Manus Akpanke teamed up with a 100-person mass choir for a live recording concert in October 2021.

The 2022 edition is coming back just around the corner and this time, it’s coming bigger and better with the 200-person mass choir termed the Hallel 200 Mass Choir.

This live concert/worship experience would be so power-packed & God’s glory would be so great, mighty & visible.

Some artists billed and confirmed for this year’s edition are Victor Thompson, Yadah, Solomon Lange, Yinka Okeleye, Moses Bliss, Promise Benson, I-Fee, Avodah & Voltage.

The event is scheduled to hold on the 19th of June 2022 at The Transforming Church located at the end of 7th avenue Gwarinpa in Abuja by 5PM.

Syntax Creative didn’t have to travel far to find its newest partner, Franklin, Tennessee-based WieRok Entertainment, a business which offers label, studio, film, and book-publishing services. The first two releases under this deal are Sean BE’s “Step Into My Story” which is available today and Madaline Garcia Heriges’ lullaby project Adventures in Sleepland, which will release everywhere on June 17, 2022 along with a full color picture book.

GRAMMY Award-winning rock band Switchfoot announces the upcoming release of their deluxe edition of interrobang, due July 9. The original version debuted last year (Aug 20).

Come Home is the new song to be released by UK worship leader and songwriter Luke Wareham featuring renowned songwriter and recording artist Marc James, released on 24^th June.

The song is part of Luke’s new 5 track EP ‘Pure Heart’ that is out on 12^th August, produced by Dan Stirling, mastered by Tim Gosden and distributed via Wings Music Group. The song came about as Luke was reading and reflecting on the story of the prodigal son in the Bible whilst songwriting with his wife Katie and friend Matt Caddick. Luke says ‘Psalm 55 and Matthew 11 describe a loving God who is kind, will never leave us and is willing to take on our burdens just like the Father does in the prodigal son story. He doesn’t turn him away, he calls for him to come home and desires to take care of his child’.

Centricity Music artist Katy Nichole and Curb | Word Entertainment band Big Daddy Weave join together to release “God Is In This Story” today (June 10) to radio, digital and streaming outlets everywhere. The song is the new radio single for both artists and is being jointly promoted by Centricity Music and Curb | Word Entertainment.

The relationship between the two artists began when Nichole was invited by Big Daddy Weave to join them on select dates during the band’s spring 2022 tour, which was her first-ever series of tour dates. Music legend, Candi Staton (Young Hearts Run Free, You Got the Love), has scored a gold record certification for her dance anthem, “Hallelujah Anyway” (Defected Records).

London-based Defected Records recently mailed Staton a  plaque celebrating the gold status of “Hallelujah Anyway” in Belgium. “I’m so tickled,” Staton says. “I knew the song was popular because European promoters always ask me to put the song in my concert repertoire when I play Europe.

However, I had no idea that it had gone gold in Belgium. I’m so thrilled that these remixes are introducing my voice and the gospel message to a new generation of clubgoers.”

Staton first recorded the infectious groove for her Proverbs 31 Woman (Beracah) album in 2002 when the song received heavy airplay rotation on Radio One’s gospel format.

A decade later, DJ Simon Dunmore (founder of the world’s largest dance music recording label, Defected Records), commissioned German DJ, Larse, and the legendary Chicago House DJ, Frankie Knuckles ,to create their mixes that have racked up over 10 million streams on Spotify alone.

It was an instant smash in clubs across the globe. It has since been remixed by other influential DJs such as Eric Kupper, Moplen, David Penn, and Dr Packer.  The song has also been covered by London’s House Gospel Choir on their 2020 Island Records release, RE//CHOIRED.

Food for the Hungry (FH) and Maverick City Music last week announced a partnership to address poverty both locally in the United States and globally. During Maverick City Music’s highly anticipated US summer tour, FH and Maverick City Music are offering a unique opportunity for sponsors who sign on at the concert events to have a portion of their monthly gift go towards Maverick City Music Initiative (MCMI), which will focus on creating programs for youth impacted by incarceration across the US and those currently in prison.
