Maverick City Music Earns 5 GRAMMY Award Nominations

Congratulations to TRIBL recording artist Maverick City Music, who has earned fivenominations for the 65th Annual GRAMMY Awards. Maverick City Music earned nominations in both the Gospel and Contemporary Christian Categories – and double nods in Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song (full list of nominations below).

In 2022, the group won Best Contemporary Christian Music Album at the 64th Annual GRAMMY Awards. At that show, Maverick City Music became the first in the genre in more than two decades to perform during the televised ceremony. Watch here.

“Today’s nominations celebrate the genre-blending collaborations from artists and musicians across inspirational music and beyond,” says Stephanie Valcarcel, President of TRIBL Records. “We’re honored to be a part of it and to continue pushing our music to new heights.”

“Everything about this project broke the mold for what ‘success’ is supposed to look and feel like. We recorded this record, Kingdom, with our dear brother Kirk Franklin, during one of the largest prison gatherings in American history. ⁣We decided to go behind bars to not just highlight the pain of mass incarceration, but to demonstrate God’s love in a way that you don’t see very often,” shares Maverick City Music co-founders & GRAMMY Award-winning producers and songwriters, Tony Brown and Jonathan “JJ” Jay.

“Of course we want to thank Kirk, our entire team, the staff and residents at Everglades correctional facility, Wardens Colon and Siegler, Tribl Records, and RCA Inspiration,” they continue. “And, we have to thank all of our fans and supporters. To God be the glory.”

The collective recently kicked off the second leg of their box-office record-shattering ‘Kingdom Tour’ with Kirk Franklin at a sold out Barclays Center in New York City. The trek, which has consistently appeared in the Top 10 on Pollstar’s Live75 list, continues tonight (11.15) with a show in their hometown at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA, before heading to South Carolina, Florida and more to end the year.

Anne Wilson Scores First GRAMMY Nomination For Contemporary Christian Album With ‘My Jesus’

Capitol Christian Music Group artist and songwriter Anne Wilson is nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album at the 65th annual GRAMMY Awards for her debut album My Jesus. The GRAMMY Awards will air live Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023 from the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles – broadcasting live on the CBS Television Network and streaming live and on demand on Paramount +. The nomination marks Wilson’s first recognition by the Recording Academy, after a monumental year for the new artist.

“I’m truly blown away that I’ve been nominated for a GRAMMY,” shares Wilson. “Words fail to describe my gratitude for all God has done and is doing through my life. I can’t help but wonder if my brother in Heaven is getting to see all of this. This is surreal and I’m beyond thankful. All glory and honor to the name above ALL names, Jesus.”

After first discovering her voice while singing at her brother’s funeral in 2017, Wilson’s debut chartbreaker “My Jesus” served as her warm introduction to fans in early 2021. Co-written by Wilson alongside Jeff Pardo and Matthew West, the “deeply personal breakout ballad” (Billboard) catapulted Wilson to mainstream success – making her the first female soloist to top Billboard’s Christian Airplay chart with a debut single since the chart’s launch in 2003. The RIAA Gold Certified single helped Wilson secure a nomination for Favorite Inspirational Artist at the upcoming American Music Awards airing live from Microsoft Theater at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. EST/PST on ABC.

The follow up to her introductory track was her now GRAMMY nominated 15-song debut album, My Jesus, which wasreleased on April 22, 2022, amassing 400M streams. As the biggest debut album by a CCMG artist in over 15 years, the “soul-touching record” (CMT) reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Christian & Gospel Albums and the Top 200 Christian and Gospel charts. Project highlights include “Sunday Sermons,” “Something About That Name” and “Mamas (with Hillary Scott),” garnering critical acclaim from the industry and media alike.

Wilson’s first GRAMMY nomination comes on the heels of the 53rd annual GMA Dove Awards, where she took home two awards for New Artist of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year for her breakthrough single “My Jesus.” 2022 also saw wins for Wilson at the K-LOVE Fan Awards for Female Artist of the Year and Breakout Single, once again for “My Jesus.”

Earlier this month, Wilson surprised fans with her six-track Christmas project, featuring title-track “The Manger (with Josh Turner).” Furthering her year of record-breaking firsts, the artist with “unmistakable strength and unique country flair” (American Songwriter) released her first book My Jesus: From Heartache to Hope from Thomas Nelson on Oct. 25. Drawing from her personal experiences of tragedy and loss, Wilson shares her detailed path to healing in this book that she hopes will help those going through similar experiences.

You can catch Wilson live on tour opening as direct support for Casting Crowns this fall, and Phil Wickam later this year. For dates and more information, visit www.annewilsonofficial.com

Gettys Earn First GRAMMY Nomination

Keith and Kristyn Getty, the world’s foremost contemporary hymn writers and performers, earned their first Grammy nomination yesterday when their album, Confessio – Irish American Roots, was officially nominated for Best Roots Gospel Album.

“We made this album when we were home with our daughters in Northern Ireland during Covid,” said Keith and Kristyn Getty. “It was our love letter to the land of our birth: the place that gave the origins and the meaning to why we write hymns, from its first hymn writer St. Patrick and his ‘Confession,’ to ‘Be Thou My Vision,’ to our own journey writing ‘In Christ Alone’ and other modern hymns. We are honored by this –our first– Grammy nomination and we hope the project shines a greater light on the Christian heritage of the West, the importance of hymn singing, and the irresistible beauty of the Lord Jesus.”

Renowned Jewelry Artist Megan-Marie Launches “The Althea Collection”

Jewelry artist Megan-Marie is known for exclusive and artfully crafted jewelry collections. She has launched her “Althea Collection” of luxury 14K gold chains.

Every chain in this collection was handcrafted by me…The part that I love most, though, is that these chains are made to be individualized and flatter your unique body and style. ”

— Megan-Marie

Known for her luxury handcrafted gold jewelry collections, Megan-Marie is a New York-based gold jewelry artist with a strong focus on quality and artistry. Being greatly admired by her clients, her collections have sold out fast in the past. She is now back with the new luxury “Althea Collection” featuring custom luxury 14k solid gold chain designs. Taking inspiration from organic textures and shapes, the collection is meant to reinvent and modernize jewelry designs often depicted in Greek mythology. With more chain designs soon to arrive, each order is handcrafted by Megan-Marie so the jewelry can best compliment the measurements of every client.

“Every chain in this collection was handcrafted by me, which really separates them from the generic designs we see in stores and online,” says Megan-Marie. “The part that I love most, though, is that these chains are made to be individualized and flatter your unique body and style. Whether it’s a chunky bracelet, short necklace, or shiny anklet, I believe everyone can feel incredible wearing these unique, timeless chains. And I’ve got more coming!”

The “Althea Collection” features highly customizable chain designs that can be altered to each client’s demands. The collection features The Hera Chain, The Dria Chain, The Klio Chain, The Ares Chain, The Circe Chain, The Astraia Chain and The Helios Chain. “The Helios Chain was inspired by the mythological Greek god Helios, the god and personification of the sun,” Megan-Marie explains. “The chain’s organic texture is meant to resemble the glistening Mediterranean Sea on a sunny day, and, when assembled, forms a clean, modern line. My intention was for it to feel ethereal and luxurious yet casual and comfortable.”

Previous collections from the artist such as the ‘Evergreen Collection’ and the ‘Spearhead Collection’ have drawn unique aesthetic inspirations from different places and eras, while still maintaining the luxury, handcrafted quality that Megan-Marie is known for.
