Download Mp3 : Chioma Mo (My Good God) – Nonye

Introducing Nonye Jayne Nze-Agwanihu popularly known as Nonye, a Gospel music minister based in Benin City – Edo State, Nigeria. Born into a family of levites, where they sang along together as kids and also sing songs mostly written by her eldest brother, Dr Chidi Obi who has had a great influence in Nonye’s musical career so far.

Nonye discovered her love and passion for music during her secondary school days, from singing hymns, psalms and leading her secondary school choir to leading worship in one of the biggest worship concerts (Worship and Clouds) in Nigeria.

Her influences are Shirley Caesar, Kierra Sheard, Brooklyn Tabernacle Mass Choir, Cece Winans and the Clark Sisters.

“It’s been a journey for me, while as a little girl, I watched my mom sing in the choir (Catholic Charismatic Corner Stone Choir), my love for music grew, I started singing in house fellowship, then to secondary school, the university and then it transitioned into Worship and Clouds, that exposed me into another dimension of music and worship leading. I will describe my music as soulful. A sound that will take us back to the threshold floor”.

Her debut single “Chioma Mo” which means “My Good God” in Igbo (a tribe in Eastern Nigeria) dialect is an expression of God’s goodness. God is everything that is truly good in this world, and conversely, the evil of this world is the opposite of God.

In the song, Nonye expressed the goodness of God and why we should have faith in His righteousness.

Nonye’s sound is inspired by love for God and humanity. She hopes to spread the message of love, hope and peace with her music.

“The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.”–

“Chioma Mo” was produced by Nyero Avwomakpa for KayRos Production.

Available on all digital stores now.

[Music] No Greater Love – The Color

The Color releases new song and video for “No Greater Love” (DREAM Records) to all digital retailers.

The song is the epitome of a summertime bop. The song marks the band’s fourth release off of their much anticipated upcoming album (October 2021) and it reveals a fun and energetic vibe that carries a little bit of 80s nostalgia.  As part of the release, the group releases the music video which was directed by Andrew Bergen and produced by Tyler Friesen from The Film Collective.

Frontman Jordan Janzen shares a bit about the writing process. “The chorus melody came to me after a morning run. I was standing in my kitchen, making breakfast, and suddenly it was right there, in my head. I was so stoked about it that I laid it down in my voice memos and sent it off to the guys, immediately. Realistically, 95% of the time when I bring a melody to the table, it will get tweaked and improved in the session. But this was a rare situation where the melody you hear in the final version is the same as the initial idea. It just felt right. Once we had that, the rest took shape quickly.”

Produced by Bede Benjamin-Korporaal, the infectious vibe and uplifting nature of “No Greater Love” will make your feet tap and your hips sway. The song is a celebration of the love that God has for us, regardless of our imperfections or the mistakes we’ve made. It reflects on the reality that He knows the finest details of our lives, the good, the bad and the ugly, and celebrates the truth that He loves us like no other, despite our shortcomings. There’s no greater love!

Written with Bede Benjamin-Korporaal and Carter Frodge, and produced by Bede Benjamin-Korporaal (Hillsong Young & Free, Passion, Chris McClarney) “No Greater Love” follows the success of their most recent single “Better Way” and their previous singles “Surprise” and “The Kind Of Man” (Surprise at #27 & The Kind Of Man at #42at Audience Airplay).

Londa released her previous single, GREAT GOD, since her 2011 live album release, GREAT THINGS. With new experiences and maturity, Londa steps back into the spotlight showcasing her signature melodic voice, resonating in a fusion of invigorating sounds. “My music’s purpose is to let people know that God is always with them and in the midst of a song being sung He’s able to accomplish their heart’s desire,” asserts Londa. “He is with us through thick and thin, and He wants and is ready to do great and powerful things in our lives.”

This song is an anthem in Londa Larmond’s life. Though it’s been re-recorded by many, Londa wanted to record it in typical “Londa Larmond” style adding an uplifting bouncing groove as a reprise.

Having gone through marriage, divorce and now being a single parent – it hasn’t been easy to say the least, but God HAS BEEN and CONTINUES to be FAITHFUL!! This song truly embodies how Londa feels about her Heavenly Father! It’s a testament of His goodness towards her and her 2 sons.
