Worship leaders and songwriters Pat Barrett and Dante Bowe collaborated on a stirring ballad, “Nothing / Something,” which garners attention for its powerful message.
In our world where we can tend to measure ourselves or define our worth by how many followers, likes, views we have on our social media platforms, or struggling for identity or our voices to be heard, the lyrics of “Nothing/Something” remind us in the end, loving ourselves and loving others is what matters…nothing else. Watch the beautiful live music video performance below.
“In the end, what truly matters? We all want our lives to mean something,” shares Pat Barrett. “I think that’s why the message of this song hits me so hard. For me, it cuts through the noise of shallow, self-obsessed living and opens me up to a higher perspective. I don’t want to get to the end of my life and feel the sorrow of meaninglessness. It doesn’t have to be that way. Jesus presented a path to deep eternal joy and meaning rooted in divine love. And that message doesn’t have a shelf life. It’s timeless. And even more, it’s eternally significant. Writing and singing this song with Dante was such a powerful experience. For me, this song has been a beautiful confrontation to any message that promises soul fulfillment apart from love.”
Since the release of the song, it has been gaining online traction. It is the top-performing video on Barrett’s YoutTube channel above his No. 1 single “Build My Life.” Currently, the video has 435.5K views on FaceBook and YouTube as well as 485k audio streams to date.
“‘Nothing/Something is such a special song,” states Dante Bowe. “When Pat asked me to feature, I was honored. This song will stand as a constant reminder of the fact that we are all called to be like Jesus. Love is who Christ is. Without love, we wouldn’t be here. Without love, we wouldn’t have freedom. Without love, it all means nothing. With love, we can fulfill our purpose as people surrendered to the Lord. Love is the cause. With love, life is worth living.”
Earlier this year, Barrett release his 17 track studio project, Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly, (Bowyer & Bow / Capitol Christian Music Group). He followed that release with a special live EP Nothing / Something (Live), which features songs from the new studio project with guest artists like Mack Brock, Chris Tomlin, and this new song with Dante Bowe.
In September he will be headlining his “Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly – Worship Nights Tour” (produced by Transparent Productions and sponsored by Food for the Hungry) followed by the “Singalong Tour” with the powerhouse lineup of Barrett, Phil Wickham and Brandon Lake for an in-person, one of a kind worship atmosphere featuring both solo and collaborative performances. Faith-based music artist, YB, has blessed his fans with a new visual for his song, “Runnin’ Wit God,” which can be viewed below.
YB affirms the belief in his savior with the powerful visual for “Runnin’ Wit God”. Comparable to fellow faith-based artists KB or Gawvi, YB redefines Christian hip-hop aesthetics through swaggering, purpose-driven content.
“Runnin Wit God” features a country-tinged trap beat that YB flows over effortlessly. The music video follows YB as he contemplates a decision that could alter his life forever. He raps candidly about his personal journey of deep reflection, resilience, and clarity while isolated in an abandoned building.
YB is clear about his intentions to elevate his visual storytelling. “I wanted to create a visual beyond my normal video concepts,” he explains to NRT. He aims to captivate listeners and “Runnin’ Wit God” does not fall short.
“As people recover, my understanding is that I’m a tool and a small piece of a really big picture. So if I can play my role to serve people well, that’s a win for me,” YB tells The Christian Beat.
Growing up in a single-parent household, YB has used the art of music to showcase his passion for youth and God. With his latest EP Provision II, YB hopes to encourage strength, hopefulness, and the overcoming of hardship.

Based in New York, but with a remarkable backstory that stretches across the world to Africa, Christian singer, songwriter, and recording artist Sarai Korpacz is certainly an artist that inspires. Building off of the momentum of several successful releases in a row over the last year-plus, the interest in her work just continues to rise.
Her latest, “Eden in Me” is being released in both audio and video form, showcasing not just her heavenly voice, but also Sarai’s ability as a songwriter to take Biblical ideas and translate them in a way that listeners can relate to and enjoy, as she educates.
“Eden in Me” is a song with the potential to reach the center of the heart. Creating awareness of God’s love, and allowing listeners to see themselves through God’s perspective is what Sarai always wants to communicate.
The passionate Sarai always commented saying; “In Genesis, we are told that God would visit Adam and Eve in the cool of the day. “Sin separated us from that perfect rest with God, but Jesus reconciled us back to the father. Each time we avail ourselves to commune with God; we create that place that Eden stood for.
“Eden in Me” is about God’s children as living gardens of Eden existing here on earth. We are portals to God’s divine presence. Zephaniah 3:17 says, “He rejoices over us with singing.” So, as we worship the Father, He first has been rejoicing over us as He is our creator.”
Sarai continued, “I hope the words of this song leave no doubt in the listener’s heart that the Lord longs to find that resting place in our hearts and minds. In return we give Him back the Eden that He placed within us, for we are His children.”
As always, the production of both the song and the video for “Eden in Me” has been held to the highest standards. This is her first single in 2021 is available on iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, and the rest of the major streaming platforms.
The music video itself was shot in Hawaii, a remarkable experience, with Sarai describing the beauty of Hawaii as, “a wonderful representation of an Eden that we can all relate with.”
