[Music] Well Done – Perry LaHaie
Perry LaHaie is extending the message of “Well Done” with an official music video that places the song’s themes of grace, faithfulness and mission inside the very imagery that has shaped it from the beginning.
Created by filmmaker Connor Harrington and filmed on a stunning August morning in West Michigan, the video finds LaHaie standing in a field ready for harvest as a brilliant sunrise and light fog settle over the field. For LaHaie, the conditions became more than a striking visual backdrop; they echoed the biblical picture of God’s Spirit hovering over creation before God speaks and new creation breaks in.

“I asked the Lord for His creation to do something special that morning, something to cause the video to come alive,” LaHaie says. “What God provided was an awe-inspiring sunrise and a light fog that hovered over the field. The fog reminded me of the Spirit hovering over the formless earth “in the beginning.” Then the Word spoke, filling the emptiness with life.”
“It seemed the Lord was saying, ‘My Spirit and My Word are here to empower the creation of this video.’ My longing is that everything captured in this video would serve as a bridge, pointing people to the power of the Spirit, the Word of God and the new creation Jesus brings.”
The field itself carries another layer of meaning. LaHaie connects the field ready for harvest with Jesus’ words in Matthew 9:37 – “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few” – the image of one man standing in the midst of a lush field ready for harvest becomes a visual reminder that more workers are needed.
At the same time, the beauty of the early morning light points toward what LaHaie sees as the ultimate harvest pictured in Revelation 7:9: “There before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.”
“My hope is that every person who watches ‘Well Done’ will be compelled by Jesus’ love to take their place in the harvest of the nations and be filled with an ocean-deep longing for the day when the One who first loved us says, ‘Well done.'”
The visual becomes a natural continuation of the story behind the song. “Well Done” grew from an image LaHaie first carried during college after seeing a farmer still working his field after dark. In a difficult season that followed, the scene became a spiritual mirror – a picture of steady faithfulness that challenged LaHaie to examine whether he would faithfully follow Jesus or settle for the “it’s-all-about-me” life.
Rooted in Acts 20:24, the song begins with grace – being “fiercely loved” by Jesus – and moves outward toward identity, obedience, the Great Commission and a life poured out in response to Christ’s love. The full-length version expands that arc all the way to its closing longing: to hear the words from his Savior, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Musically, “Well Done” blends Christian AC with American roots-rock, Americana and country-adjacent textures. The track was produced by Stephen Leiweke, mixed by Chad Howat and mastered by Sam Moses. Additional contributors include Nathan Duggar on electric guitars, Jacob Schrodt on drums, James Gregory on bass, Eric Barfield on keys, Justine Blanchet and LaHaie on background vocals, and Leiweke on additional guitars. The song was recorded at Yackland in East Nashville.
“Well Done” was released to digital platforms Sept. 4, 2026, and is currently being promoted to Christian radio and media.
