“After Olive [my daughter] died I said I wouldn’t write/sing/release music again, and had no idea what I’d say first if I did.
Fast-forward and I’m excited to say I have a couple corporate worship songs coming later this fall. They are ripe and it’s time.
But I felt I needed to release this song first as a single, because this came first. The memories, the quiet, the grieving, the unbearable vulnerability, the hollow rooms, the aching for laughter again. Because that is sacred too. God’s in every room, inhabiting all of it.
