[Music Video] Bucket List – Mitchell Tenpenny & Danny Gokey
Riser House/Columbia Nashville #1 hitmaker Mitchell Tenpenny enlisted the help of Grammy-nominated performer Danny Gokey to record a new version of his smash hit âBucket List.â The two powerhouse vocalists, who connected through a mutual friend, spar it out on the refreshed track available today. The song, written by Mitchell, Chris DeStefano and Laura Veltz, was originally released one year ago on New Yearâs Day 2021. The âBucket Listâ (lyrics here) original version is included Mitchellâs current EP Midtown Diaries that was released in September. Get the Mitchell/Danny version HERE.
The singers carved out time from their busy schedules this month to shoot a music video for âBucket Listâ at the Melrose Church at Fiddlers Grove in Wilson County, Tenn. The film was shot with Director Tristan Cusick. Watch it below.
ââBucket Listâ is about trying to live everyday like itâs your last. You never know how long you have on this earth, so you need to try and live it to the fullest,â shared Mitchell. âIâve been a big fan of Dannyâs for a long time, his voice is so incredible. And even though this song has been out for a while now, I felt he could bring the song to the Christian music community, and I knew no one else could do it better. Heâs completely changed this song. Iâm honored and grateful he would do this with me.â
âI love the sentiment of the song and love the lyrics,â said Danny. âI hope that people absorb the lyrics and start living life like never before.âLater today, Mitchell will headline the Capital One Orange Bowl Fan Fest before the 2021 College Football Semifinal game at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
