Old Bear Records has the privilege of releasing the first single from a forthcoming project we are releasing with the talented, dynamic, and Grammy award winning vocalist Kevin Max.
His first single, “As the World Falls Down,” is a fresh take on the David Bowie classic hit from the imaginative fantasy film, “Labyrinth.” With Old Bear’s flagship producer, Chris Hoisington at the production helm; the folk undertones that Chris’ production style are known for are present in the track.
Though this single is not your everyday folk flavor. It is clear that their collaboration has seemingly given birth to a new folk sound that Kevin and Chris call “fantasy folk.” Kevin’s vocals are the highlight of the track and give new life to Bowie’s song. The ethereal quality of his vocals interplaying with the deliberate and at times sparse instrumentation make for a truly unique and inventive listening experience.Max’s “As The World Falls Down” is available now to download or stream.
