“Lifeline” is a follow-up to her successful single “Ain’t No Half Steppin.” “Lifeline” is a smooth track filled with rimshots, a heavy bass line, and Cynthia’s iconic sultry vocals. Cynthia wrote the song to emphasize the importance of staying connected to the vine of Jesus Christ, according to John 15:5.
