Gospel music minister and songwriter Funmi Unstoppable joins forces with Maureen Paul on “Idi Ebube,” a heartfelt worship song that celebrates God’s greatness, the finished work of Jesus Christ, and the transforming power of worship.

The title, “Idi Ebube,” means “You Are Great,” expressing reverence for God’s majesty and faithfulness.

More than a song of worship, “Idi Ebube” carries a deeply personal testimony rooted in one of the most difficult emotional seasons of Funmi Unstoppable’s life. The song comes to her in 2024 as she prepares to bid her father a final farewell. In the midst of grief, brokenness, and the search for strength, she begins singing spontaneously in Igbo. The deeper meaning of the song becomes clearer to her later.

At the heart of “Idi Ebube” is a revelation of the finished work of Jesus Christ on Calvary. The song reflects on the sacrifice of Christ and the assurance that His work is complete, offering a message of surrender, gratitude, and reverence to God.
