Renowned singer-songwriter and worship leader Pat Barrett has announced the release of his profoundly intimate new live single, “Break Open.” Recorded during a night of spontaneous worship, the track serves as a poignant invitation to lay down defenses and allow the presence of God to soften the heart.

Known for his ability to pen “hymns for the modern soul” like “Good Good Father” and “Build My Life,” Barrett returns to his roots with a stripped-back, guitar-driven arrangement that emphasizes lyrical depth over high-gloss production. “Break Open” explores the paradox of spiritual growth: that true strength is often found in our most broken and vulnerable moments before the Creator.
