Mission House Releases ‘Family Nights, Vol. 2: Day For Singing’
Mission House started out of a community of friends gathered in living rooms and basements. They were simply compelled to sing songs about Jesus together. Since then, they have thrived into a prolific duo, writing and touring songs that ooze with Americana accents and honest lyrics, all geared towards worshipping the Lord.
With “Family Nights, Vol. 2: Day For Singing,” they have gone back to their roots, capturing the essence of their early days. Recorded live in Charlotte, North Carolina, the second edition of their Family Nights is as folksy and warm as ever, and features some of the band’s dear friends like Jacob Early, Cecily, Abby Siler, Kierre Bjorn, and Sharlene Provilus.
The new album is full of worshipful gratitude despite the last few years holding some of the hardest stories both artists have ever faced. Over 14 songs, including a spoken word, Mission House explores the vibrant highs and harrowing lows of life, whilst keeping their joy and hope in Christ as the glue that holds the family of believers together.
