Mission House Releases ‘Family Nights, Vol. 1: All Your Heart’
Mission House wasn’t a band at the beginning. Taylor Leonhardt and Jess Ray simply gathered a group of friends and strangers who were compelled to sit around a table and sing songs about Jesus together.
Recorded in Dallas, TX, “Family Nights, Vol. 1: All Your Heart” is a return to Mission House’s roots, capturing the essence of their early days which centers on the reality that we are loved by God and deeply in need of Him:
“As much as we try to build a life outside God, it is never as good as we imagine it to be,” Taylor said. “But the arms of Jesus are also roomier than we ever imagined, and there is room for you in there.” “Family Nights, Vol. 1: All Your Heart” is a stripped-back album highlighting the beauty of community with many voices recorded in the mix.

Mission House wanted to make it a singalong project, one that listeners can come back to for encouragement on the journey of life. The new album was greatly inspired by the band’s personal lives over the last few years, “which has included doubt and suffering and some of the hardest stories we’ve ever had to live through,” Taylor added.
“Family Nights, Vol. 1: All Your Heart” tells that Mission House is still convinced that a life spent looking for God is not only a good life, it’s a beautiful one.
