“When I got together with Xander to write this song, he said something like ‘I want to write a song called Ebb & Flow that’s about our relationship with God not always being at 100%.’ We’re not always perfect, and sometimes we feel closer to God and sometimes not as close, like the ebbing and flowing of the tide.
This song is saying that it’s okay to not be perfect–it’s okay that we’re living and learning and failing and growing. God has grace and he loves us.
