Luke Wareham To Release New Music June 24 With EP Due August 12
Come Home is the new song to be released by UK worship leader and songwriter Luke Wareham featuring renowned songwriter and recording artist Marc James, released on 24th June.
The song is part of Lukeâs new 5 track EP âPure Heartâ that is out on 12th August, produced by Dan Stirling, mastered by Tim Gosden and distributed via Wings Music Group. The EP will feature collaborations with Chris Sayburn, Donna Akodu, Lou Fellingham, Marc James and Michelle Lutz. Lukeâs prayer in releasing the songs is that they would help people to have life changing encounters with Jesus, that connect them to the heart of God for their life and that the songs will speak into everyday life situations. Ultimately his hope is that the songs will draw people to Jesus.
Come Home is a song for those seeking a fresh encounter with God and a call for the prodigals to come home. The song came about as Luke was reading and reflecting on the story of the prodigal son in the Bible whilst songwriting with his wife Katie and friend Matt Caddick. Luke says âPsalm 55 and Matthew 11 describe a loving God who is kind, will never leave us and is willing to take on our burdens just like the Father does in the prodigal son story. He doesnât turn him away, he calls for him to come home and desires to take care of his childâ.
Come Home is available to stream and download on all music platforms and the new lyric and acoustic videos will be on Lukeâs YouTube channel. The chords to the song are available to download via SongSelect CCLI.
