At its core, “Empty” is a prayer. It speaks to the quiet moments when words fail and the only offering left is an open heart. Jennifer describes the song as “a place I had to arrive at – not broken, but yielded.” The lyrics carry the weight of release, echoing the truth that emptiness before God is not loss, but preparation for overflow.
Musically, Empty blends contemporary gospel with worship-driven minimalism, allowing emotion to lead rather than overpower. Each progression breathes, each pause intentional – mirroring the stillness that comes with trust. It’s a song meant not just to be heard, but experienced.
With “Empty,” Jennifer Baker-Crawford continues to establish herself as a voice of authenticity and spiritual depth. Her music centers faith, vulnerability, and transformation – offering listeners songs that meet them where they are and point them gently toward renewal. This release marks the beginning of a new chapter, one defined by obedience, intimacy, and purpose.
