G.L.O Releases New Single “Be Holy”

With 10 No. 1 singles to her credit, G.L.O releases a new single, “Be Holy,” to Christian CHR and Rhythmic-formatted radio outlets today. A video from the artist, whose stage name stands for God’s Love Only, is available on YouTube.

“My new single comes straight from 1 Peter 1:15-16,” says the rapper/singer-songwriter. “’ but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”’

“’ Be Holy’ is a powerful reminder of our Christian walks,” she says of the ethereal-sounding song. “While in this world, there are so many things we can aspire to be like but above all, God wants us to take on the character of Jesus, which is holiness. And because of Christ, we can be holy.”

Alex Espinoza produced the new single, with lyrics written by G.L.O.

Music has been important to G.L.O. since she was young. When she received Jesus Christ as her Savior in 1998, she asked God to reveal her purpose. As she began writing songs, the songwriter noticed that none of her songs glorified God.

“That all changed one fateful day,” G.L.O says, “when God had a Word for me in Bible Study: ‘You can’t have one foot in the world and one foot out.’ After receiving that message, it was the breakthrough I needed. I haven’t looked back.”
