Multi-GRAMMY Award winning duo and Curb | Word Entertainment recording artist FOR KING + COUNTRY made their Grand Ole Opry debut on Friday, Aug. 12. Brothers Joel and Luke Smallbone stepped onto the world-renowned stage to perform songs from their second Top 10 album on the Billboard 200, WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR?

Says FOR KING + COUNTRY, “It’s not every day you connect so intimately with a group of people. The historic performance serves a precursor to FOR KING + COUNTRY’s global livestream “A DRUMMER BOY CHRISTMAS | The 2022 TOUR Experience” concert event that will bring the duo back to Nashville’s iconic Grand Ole Opry House on Dec. 18. The SOLD-OUT event will be one of two hometown concerts with a second Opry show recently announced to take place on Dec. 19.

In addition to their Opry debut, the two-time defending Dove Award winning Artist of the Year is among this year’s top nominees. Recently scoring six 2022 Dove Award nominations, the powerhouse duo is up for Artist of the Year, Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year (“RELATE”), Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year (“What Are We Waiting For?”), Short Form Music Video of the Year/Concept (“RELATE), Short Form Music Video of the Year/Performance (“For God Is With Us”), and Long Form Video of the Year (“What Are We Waiting For? | The Worldwide Special”). The Dove Awards take place Oct. 18 on Lipscomb University campus in Nashville, Tenn. The show airs Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. CST via TBN and the TBN streaming app. An encore performance airs Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. CST.
