Fair Trade Artists Make Chart Topping History
Artists from Fair Trade Services made CCM radio history this week, becoming the first trio of labelmates to occupy the #1, #2, and #3 positions at the same time on the Mediabase Christian AC radio chart
For the week of August 3rd, “What An Awesome God” by Phil Wickham secured the No. 1 position, with “Oh Death” by MercyMe at No. 2, and “God Did It” by Micah Tyler in the No.3 position.
Wickham also holds the #1 spot on both the Mediabase Christian Impressions chart and the Billboard Christian AC chart. MercyMe‘s #2 comes after multiple weeks at the top of the chart, marking their 51st multi-format #1 song. Tyler, who has garnered seven number-one singles, rose to the #3 position on this week’s chart.
Kai Elmer, VP of National Promotion, commented on the achievement: “We appreciate the opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of the artists, songwriters, and producers involved with these amazing songs. Fair Trade is privileged to support this music and our full roster of artists. We are also so thankful to partner with the Christian radio stations supporting each of these chart-topping hits.”
Fair Trade artist VaShawn Mitchell also achieved the #1 position on the Mediabase Gospel Artist chart with his single “Make A Way.” This represents three #1 songs on five different charts in Christian and Gospel radio.
