Dwan Hill Releases “Maranatha”
Dwan Hill introduces “Maranatha,” a sung prayer of longing for the Lord’s return. Co-written with Ben Shive, the song balances its weighty theme with a meditative and groovy soundscape. With horns and an organ as the sonic backbone, “Maranatha” features a choir, making it a communal song that invites listeners to join in with this prayer.
The new single is a creative embodiment of the ultimate joining of heaven and earth, whilst holding the current reality in tension with this promised hope. Hill cleverly reminds us of Christ’s patience for those yet to turn to him and also honestly illustrates the forbearance of believers in waiting for their Savior.
