“Light Work” is a Christian Afro-hip-hop album that combines faith-filled messages with contemporary African sounds and real-life storytelling.

At its core, the project explores what it means to live as a light in a world filled with challenges, uncertainty, distractions, and competing influences. Through rap, melodies, Afro-inspired rhythms, and culturally relevant expressions, Tru Mantra communicates messages that remain grounded in their Christian faith while connecting with everyday experiences.

Moreover, the album does not limit its message to traditional worship themes. Instead, it explores relationships, purpose, identity, perseverance, gratitude, personal growth, and the realities of everyday life. As a result, Light Work presents Christian music in a way that feels relatable, contemporary, culturally authentic, and accessible to a wider audience.
