Acclaimed Multi-award winning vocalist Keirra Sheard teams up with the legendary Missy Elliott on the single “Don’t Judge Me”.
Sheard, who is also an actress, activist and entrepreneur has no doubt been hitting her stride this year, Having Visuals for her Reppin My God with Canton Jones, Launching her clothing line, and also enjoying a feature with Chance The Rapper amongst others is back with a collab with the first female rapping Hall of Fame(er) Missy Elliott.
Missy Elliot who will be honored with the MTV Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award later this month, has publicly shared how her faith in God sustained and strengthened her through a rough childhood and after being diagnosed with a rare thyroid problem known as Graves’ disease.
It’s no surprise then that the “Lose Control” rapper dropped a few lines with Grammy-nominated gospel artist Kierra “Kiki” Sheard in “Don’t Judge Me,” a song that playfully highlights vulnerable moments in the public eye and asks others not to judge her, since only God can judge.
“Please don’t judge me by the clothes I wear. Please don’t judge by the songs I sing. Please don’t judge me by the way that I’m dancing,” Elliott sings. “You know God the only one can judge me.”
