Award-winning artist and songwriter Mac Powell has released his new album I Love Jesus today celebrating the simple gospel message of what God has done in his life.

“With I Love Jesus I wanted to return to the simplicity of what I do,” shares Mac Powell. “The gospel is a simple truth and I wanted to share that in simple songs that remind us of the love of Jesus.”

Excited about this album and believing this could be his best work to date, Powell returned to the simplicity of what he does with three or four-chord songs sharing this core message. He stripped away the pressure of trying to make something fit into an ideal of what would be a hit single or a trend and returned to what he loves to share. Singer/songwriter and worship leader Aodhán King made a surprise drop today, unveiling his first solo full-length album titled Beyond Us. The project features 13 captivating tracks, including his latest singles, “Thank You So Much Jesus,” “WITHOUT YOU,” and “PRAY YOU NEVER LEAVE.” Beyond Us, distributed through Anotherland Records and Capitol Christian Music Group, features guest artists, including Paul Klein of LANY, Grammy award-winner Lauren Daigle, English singer/songwriter Griff, and Camp Hideout’s Jenna Raine.

In Beyond Us, King draws on his own experience of navigating life’s unpredictability. He reflects on the years spent learning, unlearning, making mistakes, and facing countless moments of indecision. The album was born out of King’s personal challenges, including moving countries alone in the middle of a pandemic, the disintegration of his church community, and the unraveling of all that he once considered certain. “So much of life feels out of our control,” King shares. “There’s an infinite gap between our logic and that of God, but through creating this album, I’ve discovered the power of abdication from my own will and the freedom that comes from leaning into His boundless wisdom and love that surpasses all understanding. A pivotal moment for King occurred in early 2022 while visiting Dublin, Ireland, where his father encouraged him to explore the Vale of Avoca. The tranquil confluence of two rivers inspired King to reflect on his own faith journey. The meeting of the waters became a metaphor for what it means to know God—a collision, purification, and redirection.

This transformative experience led King to pivot from a previous project and begin work on Beyond Us. Through his music, King hopes to create a sacred space where people can come together in worship, with their questions, doubts, and affections for Jesus.
